Damn they are doing new recordings? I tried some time ago and was told by the ticket office/ or who ever it was I spoke to at the time that they weren't doing shows anymore. Bloody great show.
Also Spicks and Specks, saw them live, was great. And remember Good news week? Best show ever!

When the Labor govt gets back in with the help of the greens I am sure SBS and the ABC will get their more than fair share of taxpayer funding. Enjoy your 4x4 trips in whatever is left open by the Greens.
And please do not forget to leave your rifles and dogs at home, because the state forest is now a national park.
No camping please!
Some people don't like having draws. I must admit that I too sometimes think of losing them, but when you can pack all this and still have another draw. I'm happy with that..http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...022/04/164.jpg

We all cook one dinner for everyone, I was going to make homemade gnocchi with a chilli cream sauce, but ran out of time do brought them instead.
Last year I did kebabs on my little spit. One guy provided desert, apple pie with ice cream. We eat pretty well..

IMHO, drawers are amazing for work, singles and couples touring also up to a week tops off grid.
Not trying to be harsh it’s just the honest reality of Mr Nissan’s woeful GVM allowances on GQ & GU’s I only know.
An added 80kg of steel in the back to house merely what two say 40-50L plastic tubs can do truly does hinder a family of 4 trying as best as possible to remain road legal over a 1-2 week period with fuel/water/food/spares and of course extra slabs/cartons still capable [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

Mark, do you remember the big timber setup I scored off you few years ago? Was my first set of draws/fridge cage so to speak and needed a rear spring upgrade after it
Horses for courses with draws. Travelling a lot and a GVM kit, it makes sense. I had them and never again in the GU. 70kg+(Kings) of permanent weight, to carry and sort out 20kg or so worth of gear/food for me. For just a daily driver and a weekender trip every now and then, the maths doesn't add up.
With the GU (unless you've got the upgrade). Set of draws, full tank and passenger and you're tickling the upper GVM threshold as it is. Not even taking account everything else like bars, winch etc...
I now sort my stuff out in those expedition tubs. When not travelling they're in the garage, ready to load up whenever at moments notice. And got the whole space in the rear to use for whatever when not going away.
Set of Drawers is no heavier than the average passenger. You have an allowance for 6 passengers plus the driver at 80kgs each, but not a whole lot left after that. Each to their own I guess. My Patrol is a weekender, I don't require the empty space in the back. Drawers suit my needs. :)
Leading Horses to water is easy, making them drink for their own benefit is another story. Mr Plod is definitely ramping up weighbridges/mobile pads all over the country, have witnessed many highway say caravan weekenders after the Covid rush being called on in for checks whilst passing by.

I got my welding bench on wheels! It's been a bloody heavy thorn in my side for ages, now it's a breeze to move. Did a bit more tidying up, need more materials for new benches.
Note: Nothing is in its resting place, I'm just moving stuff to make room for stuff at the moment. The welding bench will end up full of the stuff on the shelves soon so I can dismantle and rebuild to suit the new space. Still it's the small victories at the moment!Attachment 85273Attachment 85274Attachment 85275

Correct BZ Mate [emoji106][emoji106]
Most noticeably between various States here in Australia with Covid lingering border open/closure crazy rules the last few years.
Most of Australia blamed retiree Victorian citizens for rushing borders to beat ridiculous State lockdowns by midnight but I’ve also legally been out on our National highways throughout and watched NSW city folks getting slammed by NSW deep inland forces for escaping their overladen internal duramaxstictions etc….[emoji848]

The powers above here , have a habit of railroading 4x4s and caravans into a roadside trap. Generally during holiday weekends.
Then they take out a canary coloured stick and proceed to beat the dollars out of everyone like a money pinata .
In recent years a popular trick up their sleeves are mobile weigh pads.
