I think you need 2 take a drive 2 Sydney, ( preferably with some gas tanks in the back ) just so you can give it a real test of power *LMAO*
Sounds nice mate, glad 2 hear TANKS back on the road

Just watched the vid Scotty, Tank sounds tuff as! I can see how your hands were shaking in anticipation!!!
Very cool, Very very cool..........
A test on the highway is one thing but i cant wait to see tank smashing up a massive muddy hill with roost flying and turbo whining!!!
I reckon it's tank whistling with excitement to be back on the open road!
Careful not to pull the trailer draw-bar clean off the trailer. lol
Sounds like the cam low down torque profile and added boost has you smiling from ear to ear.
let us know if you feel turbo run-on, would you please.
Found this for ya, all sorts of conversion tools, ft lb to Nm etc.
375 ftlb = over 500 Nm that getting serious stuff bud.
Would say cheers but, then you cant enjoy the power. lol.

Thanks mate - yeah, that's a pleasant surprise!!!! 514nm of Torque!!!! Wowser - that explains why it pulls so hard once up and going ...
Yep - loving it!!!! Slight ping in the high rev range but that's getting sorted this arvo (top bloke!!) - obviously leaned it out a little too much just through that stage of the fuel map ...
congrats pal, sounds like things are turning your way!!!
I can get them picked up from your house, work, anywhere else for that matter no probs at all, but they would need 2 be secured onto a skid / pallet :( Doesn't matter if no forklift is available as long as the truck driver can get a trolley jack under the pallet. And I know it would be a pain in the as! for you 2 get them onto a pallet
So what's today's update mate? Cooked the tyres off it yet? Lol
Showed a few blokes your vid.....they love the 3/4 mark where tank spools up!
Haha - its screaming mate - ping is gone also. It was when it was kicking down and spiking - bit more fuel in that part of the map and uncle bob took care of it from there!!! lol
Will get some in car footage this weekend to post up ... I'll say again, the power delivery is just seamless through the rev range ...
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
If you have a TB42e - turbo it!!!!! lmao
We love it when a plan comes together. :-)
Looking forward to seeing Tank in action!
This is what I want my Patrol 2 sound like, Ok its not a Patrol, but its a Nissan

that is crazy................
Looks as good in the flesh to, Scotty should be a proud dad.
Tapatalking my way around.
Sounds sweet .... wouldn't want to be his neighbour though lol.
Okey dokey, small update.
Did the first reasonable size trip over the weekend since getting Tank back. Did 407 klms made up as follows:
1. About 40 klms of reasonably hard pedal driving testing it out when I got it back and filled it to the brim
2. 50 klms of what I'd say is average around town/cruising driving to get Timbo from the airport (suburbia, bit of 80 kph, bit of 100 kph, etc)
3. About 200 klms of highway driving
4. About 117 klms with tyres at 20 psi on sand in 2 and 4wd
Returned a consumption figure of ... wait for it ...
17.76 litres per hundred!!!!
I'm dead set stoked with that!!!! The best I ever got pre-turbo was the trip up to Rockhampton with Dhuck to pick up Kelvins trailer (the trip up only without the trailer - about 650 klms) - that was 15.25 litres per hundred and essentially nothing but highway driving.
I'm thinking if I drive reasonably normally, I'm looking at an around town figure of mid to late teens, and a highway consumption figure probably closer to 13 litres per hundred. That's on a near 3 tonne rig, and from an engine punching out close to 200 horsies and 514nm at the rear wheels!!!! And it holds speed heaps better now also (not up and down at the slightest hint of a slope like it was before).
Happy is an understatement.
Thats awesome mate! Really happy for you even though im jealous..... maybe i need to get myself a turbo?
Sh1t Hot mate with those figures you should make the loveday meetup ;-)
My question is.....is the handbrake broken?
How come you get a free reign on the cheque book for all these mods? lol
I'd be checking out gumtree or ebay. The handbrake might be parting it out, very, very soon. lmao.
Congrats on reaching 50,000 reads, Scotty.
Well done. Now, please read and answer my last question!! lol
