I the scales would be best on the bottom knife with bolster already there as a guide.
Not sure on the brass pins as there isn't any brass elsewhere. Maybe look at different styles of hex screws

top one will have brass bolster, good point on the brass stainless might look better

Yeah My camo knife finally arrived with a pleasant surprise gift of a credit card knife
blade is about 6" feels great in the hand, the other is my bone knife.
Notice customs opened it and never took the credit card knife , Doh
