I can take a dog with me, TBH I think it would have better resale vale as well.
I can go to the tip, pick up soil you name it even fire wood, not doing that with a wagon

nah you can still have a 6' tray on a dual cab GU.
I dont want the inside of my patrol covered in dog stink and dog hair.
I have a mate with an extended dual cab that tours the world, but thats an awesome unit
gear doesnt have to get wet if you have say space cases ,etc, remove the back seats , more storage if needed

6' tray would be best with a chassis extention and gvm upgrade. Resale doesnt change not that i have noticed anyway. You keep a spare tyre inside your car so having a dog in there cant be to much of a worry surely.
The biggest problem with the patrol and anything like this is the gvm. The car once you even put bar work on it is quickly approaching the factory gvm let alone if you have a teay on a dual cab full of soil or firewood.
