I managed to order a trip to the North Pole via https://poseidonexpeditions.com/. That has always been my dream to visit that place. Hope that in the foreseeable future my dream will come true :) I am truly excited about the trip.

Lol..
Ever seen those stupid videos of people pulling up at a bowser, only to realise the filler is on the other side ? And then they do a 90 degree turn to the OTHER side of the same pump ,only to end up in the same predicament?
Never thought I'd witness it first hand but it just happened !
This courier in a van spun around 3 times and then got out of the van scratching his head... This bloke had absolutely no idea what was going on ...
Me and a work mate attempted to guide him but got hit with a English barrier ...
How some people live and breathe daily is beyond me , let alone acquire licenses and drive on the roads.
Anyways didn't make me happy but it definitely made my day [emoji1787][emoji1787].

We have been invited back up to Portland Roads, just north of Chilli Beach, Cape York for a return house sitting & 'postie' gig, except this time, instead of 5 weeks it'll be for 8 to 10 weeks. They are flying us up on 19th Feb. Can't wait!!! Tough gig but somebody's gotta do it eh? :bananadancing::bananadancing::bananadancing: Woohoo!

Laid the footings for a cubby house I bought off Facebook marketplace. The decking was rough sawn, ran it through my thicknesser for a premo finish and will paint it once the cubby is assembled on-top of it.

Building a pergola at my mum's place to salvage a grape vine my father planted more than 30 years ago.
I got some brackets plasma cut from 5mm thick COR-TEN steel for aesthetic purpose really, but fitting them today I'm really pleased with how they look on the 150mm square treated pine framework.
I love it when a plan comes to fruition.
Ratchet straps in there to hitch the vine up to the new pergola height slowly over time [emoji106]http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/01/161.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/01/162.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/01/163.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/01/164.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/01/165.jpg

Hey @MB the other day I remembered, years ago I built a storage box for the back of the Hilux. As it turns out, it's perfect for the mobile tool trolley/bench/storage box I'm wanting to make. Then at a place I work I found 4 castors (is that the term for wheels??) that they don't know they had and haven't moved for 5 years, so I reallocated them.
Today I'm getting 5mm sheet & a vice and I reckon I'll be set.
One half of the box has shelves, the other half is open.

Picked up some 5mm plate for the top of my bench. I got my 2's and 1's muddled up. I got 2170mm long, but only needed 1270mm, so I've got some offcut to play with. Gee a 2170mm long piece of 5mm is bloody heavy.
Also picked up a 100mm vice.
Had a mongrel of a night. Woke up at 1pm today, to find that Mrs mudsane had gone to the seafood outlet and bought me a crayfish.
Finished my workbench / tool trolley on the weekend ...
