Powder works a treat, merely touches their feet and they’ll all clean together back in the nest nearby. [emoji736][emoji736]

Went to mount the ARB lightbar today using the ARB locknuts, after paying the ransom you would think they would actually fit - NOPE, nuts diameter bigger than the slot. So 1 hr on the die grinder, opened up one of the brackets so at least I have the bar security locked from thieving maggots.

Took 19 repeat attempts to register a simple 'authority to leave' advice with a freight company, no alternate email contact, only a 1300 number that is manned 9 - 4 Mon-friday. What a system. Anyway, with luck my slider kit will get here, somehow maybe

This is in Vic.
So my 87 yo mother in law got a land tax bill.
Got me to thinking, so I looked into it.
Read the fine print & from what I can understand we may have to pay this blardy cluckin new dictator dan tax.
We've spent the past 20+ years putting together a nice house and land to retire to.
It's not a ton of land, it's not a fancy house and we don't draw any income from either the house or land.
If what I understand is correct, we could be up for a 5 figure land tax bill each cluckin year.
How the clark are people supposed to pay that cluckin type of a bill, EACH YEAR.
Anyone else looked into this?
If this is the case, we'll see thousands, tens of thousands of people having to sell because they can no longer afford to live in their homes.
Its the price we pay for the dickheads who put the poor money managers in charge of the bank. Our 15 acres in Gippsland costs 4k in rates for a cow paddock without any physical services and a dirt road, then we got hit with $1500 land tax because its not the principle residence. I suppose one day we will end up there, maybe, but in the meantime its value is skyrocketing well beyond the costs so its just what it is.

Bloody oath!
Too little too late. This state is rooted and their debt will continue bring this state down. We have plans to finish off the house, wait until both our kids have flown the coop, one's already gone, and then look to move north. Where exactly, not sure.
Looked into it more, it won't be a 5 figure bill, more likely 3, so we are very relieved.
What pisses me off, all the well to do with their mansions and bentleys, they won't pay a dime coz it'll be their primary place of residence. They can sell all their investments if they want.
It's people like the bloke who lives down the road from us, has a 1/4 acre block with chooks and runs some sheep on another block coz he can't afford much food so he slaughters his sheep and takes the chook eggs. He's going to get hit with this tax.
And the farmer up the road who is only just with head above water coz everything everywhere is screwed cost wise, he'll have to pay coz he's under-utilising his land coz he can't afford feed, vet bills etc to keep his farm adequately stocked.
Just discovered it is a corgi-sized dog which has been visiting the property over the last few months. Tonight, the security camera showed the little bastard hiding behind a corner while I move the spotlight around searching for whatever is upsetting the livestock and dogs, yet again. Its very smart as it avoids the cage traps I have been setting. Baiting is not an option either.
Bloody hell. Do not, I repeat do not update Tappa if you have the non paid version.
It’s painful to use with advertising!

What does Tappa bring to the table? I just browse the forum on the internet on my tablet and iPhone. No dramas. Why would ya?
FWIW it took me some time to work out how to post pics from a mobile device on the “desktop” version of the forum, but it is very easy actually. I honestly can’t navigate my way around on the mobile version of the forum.

I can still upload pics though

I was sceptical too but here’s the underside of it.
I’m actually glad it’s like that.

Well!! My run of F@#K S%^ttery continues. Bought a brand new after market washer bottle from , Patrolapart, when I was in Melbourne. Went to install it today. I had already siliconed the two rubber seals and glued the motor housing to the bottle. Through past experience, I have found that the motors can pop out in rough conditions or if being jostled when changing a headlight. Which by the way, another brand new one has already got cracks in it and has moisture on the lens.
Any way, the motors are both leaking out the bottom, from inside. So I'm 380 ks from Lilydale stuck with two leaking bottles!!
Refitted the old washer bottle. On closer inspection, I found the exact defect in the bottom plastic casting on both new pumps, not the motor seal I suspected. I bet the whole batch is defective. Tried sealing both with silicone rubber. Only time will tell if it works.
If they will supply a replacement, I am happy to pick it up and post it to you, only 20 mins from me, not a problem.

I bought a low profile blood pressure monitor off the internet, so I could generate the historical for the doctors post the stent. Anyway the unit arrived, unwrapped the packaging and put it to the side for later use. Today I thought I would open it up, put it on charge and give it a whirl.
Well opened the box and no monitor or charge cable - ummmm, so searched the house in case I had hidden it from the gargoyle and nope, the box was delivered empty.
Now on the treadmill finding serial numbers, receipts, name of the neighbours cat and other equally important data to validate I have not sold the unit on gumtree for $5.
At least the response has been swift from the customer service department. I guess just another modern world issue!
Update is the supplier is not the owner of the problem, they cant supply any service if they dont have the order number and thats even when OI supply the copy of their model number and serial nuber of the unit - WTF? Anyway the plot deepens as this parcel was opened by the Aust Customs for inspection and sealed back up. I suspect this is where the item disappeared - so who is liable for the theft or possibly the empty box? I have kicked this to touch, not worth the time chasing for thr dollar value but frustrating. I will be able to get a refund I think via Paypal, so thats something - still dont have the unit and wont re-order based on the attitude of the service rep - will buy elsewhere something different.
