Bought 3 soft shackles from the UK, about half the price of the U.S. Ones
Heaps of how tos on the net. Very simple and pretty much fool proof. Not idiot proof.

Windscreen washer check valve
Just orderd new intercooler
Bahahahahaha!!!! I used to say that when I was in primary school.
I'm hoping to take delivery of my Cross Country big banger early next week. Then I'll mount the fecker and then take some brave pills and cut the bonnet to fit the new scoop.
No I just got the straight ones, at the moment a long range tank is not part of the plans (he says that now..). I'm hoping the economy I pick up from the engine work and a proper tune will help me out. Currently the front is sitting at 2" and the rear a bit higher, but I will be going 3" after I get the engine sorted. I need some bushes now due to clunking and banging so may as well get the arms and spread the cost out a bit so the missus doesn't get as upset. Eventually I'll probably be going hybrid arms and drop boxes on the front.
Many different sizes as they are huge in the sailing world.
Our problem is why would you pay $30-$50 each when a rated metal shackle is below $20..
The only advantage the soft shackle has is the safety.

I've generally got 5-6 in there as well, a couple of snatch straps, a couple of extensions, a couple of tree protectors, etc. adds up.
I don't think you can put a price on safety, I will certainly be buying some.
Not a big deal on the weight debate. Has anyone got a picture of any in action.
All newbies and oldies should change their thinking and use these "soft shackles"
just imagine how many "accidents" could be avoided.
Nice pick up on the battery too Kallen 120AH oodles of power there my friend
Couldn't agree more mate but as you well know people these days look at the $$$ first and the quality.
I was going to do them. But I just don't think they would move. A few a year maybe.
I think the price I worked was $25 each for 16000 pound.
I doubt they'd move.
