Firstly don't the GU diffs have a wider track??
Secondly most drag cars get re built every meet to make sure they are still serviceable and they also get scrutinized before every meet to check for stress fractures and to make sure their mods are legal.
I was tossing up between a td42 or the ls1, more so the ls coz i already have a motor sitting doing nothing but was in 2 minds about it. Just depends what the bank account looks like when i make up my mind, so that story will be continued lol.
Whats rocky track ?? Lol
I think someone else said something about rocky track.
Someone earlier said that they have long arms I'm just wandering how do u find them and do u think that they r worth it or do u suggest to just get some adjustable once.
Also I'm looking at putting 4.11 diffs in my 4.8 auto but the gu didn't come with the 4.11 in the back with the small diff so it looks like I'm going to be looking at u gq boys for diffs
As and a 2 inch lift mine doesn't even have that so I had to crawl up on stock hight suspention stock tyres with 36 psi in them and I was still dragging my diffs and factory side steps.
Also when I bought my 4.8 ti I was also looking at gq's but it's hard to find good once these days that don't cost the same as a gu
Long arms are certainly worth it. Why do you want to change ratios? You don't need GQ diffs as such just any rear but the gu has a wider track.
I'm hearing ya about the prices there is a GQ advertised up here for 35k.
