Mates are at Barmah as I type this and have been catching cod.
I was fishing from the Bank and did move around however could not get near the Holes that I know in that area due to the River being so low and Mud Banks 6 Metres or so from the edge with big drop offs and would have been hard to land anything..
One spot that I know has a good Hole was being fished by someone else but they were not getting anything either.
Strange I know but I must have been holding my Mouth wrong LOL
Just got back from Greens Lake a great morning to be on the water.
I just convinced the Mrs that a river cruise was a good idea while the boat is on so we are heading to the campaspe!
Nothing at Greens this morning but a few reddies this arvo at Eppalock on the Campaspe arm. All on worms but having been throwing a variety of lures all day with no luck.
My mate in Yarrawonga, has been doing well on the Yellowbelly over the past week, up near Majors creek.
And they are about to get smash by this storm.
Always bad when you see Black on the radar.
I just got back from eppalock. We got nothing but the barometer was rising so a mate who is into that stuff rang up and said lets go out.
When I was a kid, we caught Redfin and carp in the ponds at Caulfield racecourse. These days they probably have security and fences....
Attached is a PDF of the new Fishing Rules in NSW

Used to catch coi carp in Albert Park lake and sell them to pet shops, along with blue tongue lizards from Coburg cemetery,
The Merri creek used to flow at the back of mums place great for frogs and redfin till the Tulla freeway came and they concreted the lot.
where were the greenies then, lol
I would catch cane toads and sell them to wild world in cairns 5$ for 10cm and another 5 every cm over. With a cane field at out back door it was easy $ lol
Just received news if the new regulations for Cod in NSW waters.
All minimum size limits remain the same at 60cm but a maximum of 80cm.

Not sure why you would want the big toads they never win the races lmao
Just watched the best boat I've ever owned drive off with it's new owner ,

well as our holidays drew to a close Ebb and I jumped on a charter out of Kabarri..8kg west aussie dhu fish,4kg coral trout,3 mixed size mulloway, and a baldchin groper...Ebb bagged most on boat and the biggest coral trout, secon biggest mulloway and baldchin..
here's a view from the boat coming through the mouth of the Murchison river mouth, not to good a pic but you can see the wave crashes next to the boat..got the camera wet taking this one...very proud of my daughter for not getting sea sick.it was her first time on a charter and I don't think I will ever be allowed to go alone again..
Family bonding at its best mate.... :)
