That's near the Ross River homestead and is a memorial to an Alice Springs biker who was killed after a collision with a wild camel.

I just watched this video about the annual Fish’s Run, to remember him, & no mention of a camel was made, only that he overshot the sharp corner going into Ross River Homestead, so maybe I got told wrong.
