G'day Mego,
Hyperbaric chambers are used for a range of clinical purposes, including:
The treatment of diabetic ulcers;
Life-threatening infections such as gangrene;
Cancer patients suffering complications after radiation therapy; and
The treatment of divers with decompression illness.
HOW IT WORKS
The primary healing element in our bodies is simply oxygen. Get too much or too little and we become unstable or die. We all know that the oxygen is absorbed through the lungs and circulated through the blood in the body. A regulated increase of oxygen therefore helps with healing and assists with the detoxification. Air at sea level is made up of approximately 20% of oxygen and 80% of nitrogen.
There is a minor level of carbon dioxide and other gases but the bulks of the transparent gases that we take for granted are oxygen and nitrogen. Hyper means an increase in the quantity or quality of something while baric means pressure. Put these together and you have a system that delivers oxygen under increased pressure that often increases and accelerates the body's natural ability to heal from a variety of afflictions.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been in use for over 50 years and involves the intermittent inhalation of 100 per cent oxygen. A multi-place chamber is designed to hold two or more people and the chamber is pressurised with air. Patients breathe oxygen via mask, a hood or endotracheal tubes.
The new $5.2 million hyperbaric chamber at Prince of Wales Hospital is the biggest and most technologically advanced of its type in the world.

Winnie you should just walk up to his car without saying a word and piss on his car.
Had a meeting with estate agent yesterday to put things into perspective and even though Mags has been the driving force she seemed against it.????
It was good as it helped put things in there place with what areas we should concentrate on and things we thought we should spend money on was told not to bother..
So our list has shrunk from what I felt was overwhelming to very manageable ... so finish off laundry and renovate bathroom and tidy up some plaster work.. then just do a basic tidy of the gardens and fix the fascia to the garage.
Mags was very upbeat last night and so was I and felt like I wanted to get stuck in..... but now I am sick and Mags has to work today??? bloody hell.
The other thing we will need to sort is storage for a lot of stuff... I thought of buying a shipping container???? storage fees will cost us a fortune for the amount of stuff we will need to store?
Anyway with all that has been happening this has made me feel very happy !!!!!!!!
Just need the boys around to have a working bee.... wink wink !!!
I would certainly put my hand up to try any new procedure or stimulator out there.
These days they don't use bone graft on a Steffie fusion they have hi-tech Titainium gadgets
instead that don't limit your movement, I'm having my third stimulator implanted, and fingers crossed
I get relief this time, been waiting 18 months now, but hopefully I'll be in before the end of the month
More squid to share with family.
Thursday.
