Probably only a little bit more I guess but it would be roosting in off the tyres

Yeah the shock tower is hard against the body now. Had to manipulate the drivers side a little but all in now.
Biggest issue for me was how I was going to get to the top nut on the shock but the hole sorts that out.
I've seen you lebo slingshot liftlid and I'm surprised the body is still attached at all let alone punched through with holes!
tappa lives!
Hey Mudrunner just had a quick question about when you moved the primer pump back over to the drivers side (roughly page 110 I think) . Did you take the wring for the water in fuel plug with it or not worry about it? If so, how did you do that. Just about to do the same on mine and after any tips. Cheers.
Hi mate, sorry I completely missed your post. Sorry for not following you up.
I have run an after market fuel filter for 10 years with a water separator so the wiring is obsolete on mine. Would not be difficult though I would think. Knowing Nissan it probably leaves the loom on the drivers side and goes across the fire wall anyway.
Hope you got it sorted mate/ feel free to ask away.
Nah all good mate. Yeah pretty sure it is in the loom on the drivers side and just goes across the inside of the firewall and then out the other. Haven't got around to it yet as have had bigger dramas. Cheers though.
What have we got here?

Tomorrow is going to be a great day!!
Yes much nicer welding with gas. Preparation is key with welding. Save your pennies and buy a pulse mig :p
Yeah I have a smallish mig already here. 140amp I think. I have one of those little disposable bottles from Bunning Kallen, I don't expect much out of it but how much do you think I will get?
My mate with the bender has a decent mig, I might have to give him a cuddle when I'm ready and borrow it for a weekend to weld off maybe
They are only about 1L. And when you weld at 20 odd lpm it doesn't take long.
For the record I have an e bottle that costs me $60 to fill and those bunnings ones cost $40. They are a rip. Get a hire bottle and use it for what you want and send it back.
Those disposable bottles are only for small jobs. Consider getting adapters and using the larger bottles.
Yeah I might buy one, just trying to save some cash as I already have a little disposable. I have a fair bit of welding to do so should just bite the bullet. Don't tell the missus.
There is a link for those buy your own bottles on here somewhere. The cost of transportation has made it uneconomical for me, but you being in the metropolitan area, it should be all good.
Very nice Daz! Can't wait to see what you do with it
Gotta see the finished product.
Should look killer good.
This bloke!!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk cause AB turned it back on!!
mwhahaha. I was just thinking to myself I hope your keeping measurements ;)
How long you have that bender for. Looks like a nice unit. I really gotta get a set made up also. Specially sliders and rear bar.
Ahh that list is just getting longer everytime I visit this forum haha....
Just bent up front and rear Scrubbies for my GQ and sent AB home with a full set too. Also a set of front Scrubbies and slider rails for the GU. Got a couple more things to do.
Lights has put his hand up and needs the bender for the next couple of week Matt but I will have it back in a few weeks and I'm sure we can sort something out mate. I'll let you know mate.
AB, thanks for your help today mate, we got a heap done with 2 sets of hands
Good score AB! Those look awesome Darren!
Very neat mate, can't wait to see what you do for the GU
Yeah nice work there Darren. When do you want my Patrol down for a measure up? Lol

Nice work boys, where's my set wink wink ☺. . .
Cheers Guys, The bender is Awesome but its Not mine. bloody nice bit of kit though. Big bux tied up in it and the dies alone cost $800 and have a service life. I am very appreciative to have had a lend of it to get this bar work done but i can't give it back to my mate with flogged out dies, this would be UnKool. I'd love to help everyone out with bar work but i simply don't have the time to be honest and can't really put that traffic through this bender, it would not be fair to my generous friend. Sorry guys.
I have been trying to get this bar work done for a year! glad to have the bending done. Cheers Mick for the lend.
Not good enough Daz. . . Expect you to be working through the night plus free delivery and fitment. . Haha. . .
Daz are you doing an shs base rail or all round tube??
The length Under the actual door sill.
I'm going shs there but that's only for a bit extra capacity..
