OK, quick mod last night. Converted my bull bar 4" fog lights to 35W HID. Should give a nice down low spread
Should get a workout around here, been foggy as lately.
They'll burn the eyeballs outa anything that gets in front of ya ;-)

But now you have me worried...LOL
Just had a look on a brick wall at home and they look a lot lower then driving lights. I suppose I'll have to see in real world. Will test them properly this weekend. If theyre no good on the road they'll be great out in the scrub.
Ohh yeah, lovely eyes mate ..hahah
And finally got the snorkel fitted today ...ready for some snorkelling..LOLOLOL

Still not sure on the rear bar, but I'm bit broke ATM so it might have to wait a little while...
Snorkel configurations are interesting. I like your short version, mine fits along the wheel arch and looks chunky but finishes flush with the roof line whereas yours is higher than the roofline and I see issues with low flying pelicans snapping it off. But probably not if you have a roofrack...
Yeah, mighty close mate, probably have about 120mm spare so my roof racks have to go on outside. Funny thing though, my last GU was 2" lift and I was able to drive in/out with the roof bars on. Now with the TJM 2" I can't. It looks closer to 3-4" lift. I hope it settles a lot more!!!!
Looking good there Kris. They just don't make sheds as they should!! We just fit in ours but put the roof top tent on and the Troll has to live outside!
We don't fit in any shopping centre car parks any more either. Made that mistake once!
Loveday will be a great for you to test her out. Hope to see lots of pics.
Would have been funny if you put the roof bars on in the shed then couldn't get the Troll out!! hahaha - NOT!!
Great looking Patrol!
I took one for a test drive today and love it!
Does anyone have any more news on the possibilty of lift / bigger tyres affecting the Stability Control?
I really want to get one but need to know i can safely lift it and put bigger tyres.
Yes, they are very nice to drive.
Personally I haven't noticed any issues with Stability Control and 2" lift. Not sure how it would affect higher lift though.
I've tried to engage VDC but I must be soft as I haven't managed to do it yet. Maybe it will be easier on dirt...lol
Also F40, jump into the introduction section ans say G'day and tell us about yourself.
Geez i hope it's ok...I've ordered mine with 33s and am installing a 2" lift straight away. I'll let you know for sure in a couple of weeks. I received a phone message today from Nissan which i'll return tomorrow. hopefully it's to say my new GU8 patrol is ready...but i doubt it.
I hand the muched loved GU7 over to its new owner on Monday and i will be sad to see her go.
Hopefully the new one will be as faithful
Waka
The plan is to have it ready for the next boys weekend trout fishing. we're heading up to the Blue Mountains late April so I hope it's ready in time. The Nissan dealer said the car will be with delivered to them next week but it needs to spend a couple of days at ARB getting some bits and pieces added. Apparently they are booked out for 4 weeks! business must be good in the 4wd accessories industry...
you've probably already seen this but it impressed me.

how's yours going?
Just wondering what breed of snorkel you fitted and how the stereo was going as i was looking to purchase a simular item for my project.
Mate, sorry for late reply . The snorkel is a Safari, I don't like the airtek ones at all. The stereo is heaps better then my old one, lots more user friendly but one thing...I can't get into windows explorer :( . I only tried once so need to have another go at it. Other wise great unit for the price.
mmm nice new and shiny! enjoy washing all the mud off her regularly, shes a beaut!!!
Well the multimedia unit turned up this morning and is now installed and working fine. Things don't usually go that smoothly for me :)
I own a GU IV built in 2005. The adapters I bought from Repco were Double diverysity lead Aerpro AP 348A ($12.99) to convert the Nissan aerial lead to "normal" male aerial plug and an ISO adapter APP0120 ($14.99).
As you mentioned the 12v wire for ignition volts and memory volts where a about t. The ISO adapter had one plug with the power leads fitted with bullet connectors, I simply swapped the yellow and red leads at the bullet connectors and all is now well, no memory loss (stations and other settings). Pity it isn't that simple to restore my own memory:(
I have OziCE up and running, my reverse camera attached via the Aux video in cable, and the DVD "off except with hand brake on" disabled by earthing that wire to the body of the unit.
Thanks for your advice.
Had to whack a beaudesert 2.75" exhaust in today..finally wooooooohoooooo
Got the pyro in and will connect tomorrow. So far it seems to be a lot smoother sound wise. Have marginally noticed the pick up a lot lower in the rev range but early days. Should have bit better results tomorrow or especially when I take the caravan in for a service next week.
My exhaust jack should work now with a straight cut end pipe...LOLOL
nice work.
WOW, what a difference!!1
Just went for a ride up the hills and the difference is unbelievable....no more gear changes....LOLOL Just put your foot down a bit and it just pulls hard in 5th. Love it
I have a good feeling it will pull the caravan with ease and cheaply... in fact I know it will...HAHAH
Should have done this as a 1st mod
Hhahaha, bloody food always gets in my way....LOL...good pick up mate
Installed the Auber EGT gauge this arvo and went for a spin...bloody temps get upto 600 pretty quickly. Pretty sure the CRD's run a bit hotter then Di's so could be good.
Wonder what they're like with the van on...hmmmm
Coopers, not bad at all Kris.
Ok, took me a while but its finally done......my new accessories to the Patrol is Rhino rear boat loader...what a pi55er. best $200 I ever spent... I can't believe the bargain I got, and the guy I bought it of even dropped it off and showed me how it goes together.( Top bloke as well) It was supposed to have a couple of bits missing but everything was there with a fair few extras.
Got the loader, roof bars and a roof basket all for $200...OK, OK...I'm bragging now :)
SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER
