Here's some pics of the sun rise on the Murray, river was down but hey its the Murray. Just NTH of Shep.
Yep........ its a troopy, and its stuck......

hahahahaha! nah your not ignorant, you drive a patrol:). Doesnt look it but its pretty steep. It kept sliding into the fence forwards or backwards. Inbetween the cars you can see where the troopy has already flattened the fence lol
A day in the snow on the Gordon River Road just after Maydena, Patrol was sliding around but you should have seen the little 2wd's struggling

yo Portal how did you find it up that area, awesome or what.
Do you get to the Pinnicles, on a good day you can see. Mt Hotham
and Lakes Entrance
Some highway shots from the west coast of tas.
Notice the "white" bitumen in the first pic. Do you guys get that anywhere else in Aus? Its ment to help with seeing animals on dusk.(they stand out better on a white background)

They breed them tough down in Queenstown Tasmania. Lol this is the footy field. Yep thats gravel with a nice brocken bitumen edging!!! Beautiful location though. Apparantly theres photos of it in the football hall of fame in melbourne, its the only gravel footy field in australia. Probably plenty of dirt ones though. Its pretty rough down there on the "wild west" of tassie, when i took that pic, there were heaps of donuts and burnouts on the footy field lol

bump.... lol
crikey lucas, ive played rugby(union) on some pretty rough fields before and getting tackled on the cricket pitch is always felt weeks later, but nothing like that, thats pretty mental mate, thanks for sharing. on a side note tho, you gAyFL blokes dont really know how to tackle anyway, its all just a bunch of pushing and shoving, so i spose it wouldnt be too bad.
as to this, i have seen lots of white roads up my way and especially out north of griffith, i didnt know thats what it was for, just thought the council was tight a$$ on the stuff they used or somthing... interesting to know tho!
That would hurt.
Sorry rusty, I've played both and AFL is way more brutal.
lol i have NEVER played football. Never have, never will. I have never been into any team sports. Skated back in the day. Then onto Mountain bike-dirt jumps/street style/downhill. Then Rockclimbing and dirtbike. I know you guys are tuff but i cant stand team sports! lol
How about the "white" bitumen? Have you seen it anywhere?
yeah but your a mexican mate, come play some people who know what there doing, i played 1st grade illawarra comp, theres some big hits in that. ive played AFL too, ill admit you gotta be fit, theres plenty of running, but the contact level and physicality is on a different level.
ps. i was wondering how long it would take to get a bite outta someone, apparently 2 mins lol
see prior post
the way i see it is: Rugby or league or union or whatever effing thing you apparantly have to call it is harder hitting but you on your two feet. Gayfl are more likely to get knocked flat from airborne. No idea what is tougher but thats all the team sport cr@p i want in my pic thread lol
all good, your forgiven because you answered my bump lol....
Re: white bitchy I can't recall ever seeing it.
DIAL-A-TAP
yeah there is also pink stuff down here. The pink colour comes from the local quartz they use and is just a coincidence. The white is on purpose i think
Great pics Lucas, never seen a white road, only grey ones of various shades but then again I'm colour blind lol
And Pooh, stop talking nonsense mate :D
Don't stroke it, TAP it!!!!.....
Yeah your probably right but i didnt think they would set up a processing plant to process local rock. But then again theres a whole new section near Zeehan that is really pink and that must be from local rock. Interesting though. Maybe the rock is just a by-product from one of the mines. But why were the roads traditionally black until fairly recently when the local rock would have been the same colour for ever.
Explains a lot about Tasmania lol
