Mate! It was ridiculous! My Blue Trim removal tools which are thick plastic designed specifically for this task were turned white!!!! No shit!! I rang the supplier and asked if it was actually suited to the S5? There must be some hidden screws in the S5. No mate, what our vid. So I search YT until I find their vid. They did the swap while parked on the beach on a lunch break. Pop Pop, off it came!! No Way!
And both vids say unplug this, unplug that, but clearly edit out that time. And all of the plugs you are trying to sort out with the tips of your fingers shoved in the back of the cluster out of view!! Bloody Hell!!!
Naomi drew a line yesterday, she said I don't think you should be pulling the dash out, please don't, it's a brand new car, it was expensive, maybe you should get someone to do it. Lol. Nah it's OK dear, I got this!!!
Wait until the 5" snorkel arrives as the angle grinder comes out. Lol. I didn't dare show her the tow bar fit while the rear bumper was off! I don't think she was ready for that. Bhahahaha
Here ya go, looks like a electric window motor, see how close exhaust is and where the factory heat shield is
Attachment 84365
Awesome thank you. I did see that while I was getting to know it from underneath buy was not really sure what it was, I will pay attention to that while.it is in the air and see 8f i can fit a shield there.
it was the same in my d40 navara. i found out one weekend that flattening the battery while the car is in 4wd low makes the computer forget the car is in 4wd, essentially its forgetting the position of that actuator. not sure if its the case in the patrol, but fwiw, the only way to fix the problem is to unbolt that whole actuator, with it set in the 2wd position, then "turn on 4wd low" so the actuator moves to the correct position, the rebolt in and your back in business. hope that makes sense? lol
just saw this, ill leave it here haha

when the tyre shop changed your tyres, did they not swap the original valves over mate? thats where the tpms finds its reading, from inside the valve, that would be why your tpms isnt working
Well I just fitted a driver's side Vogue UHF Aerial mount. It came with no instructions which kinda sucked and the longer screws where 10mm Too Long and had to be trimmed. But Bloody Hell I'm living this position!!! I can't see it sitting in the drivers seat and there I no more looking through it off the bull bar. Stoked.

I uses HD double sided tape to keep the Aerial tight and tidy. There was a nice little grommet in the A pillar just under the factory loom which also worked a treat.

I'm liking that Darren. I'd love to get down your way and see this beast in the flesh. With the boss of course, she needs some encouragement ;)
Joy Rides will be available.$4 a ticket. Lol
I like how you have your own forum handle on your whiteboard in the shed. You big man child....
Do like the GQ list, only one item to fix and just drive the bloody thing [emoji106][emoji106]

Then on the front lawn when I got home my Big-O Sliders . "You Bend them, We replace them" warranty. I considered making them but after looking at the chassis mounts on these I felt that this were a good buy made from Tube not pipe.

Absolute Bastard. Don't know if I can come here anymore, to depressing. Maybe I'll try and get a Y63 before you.....
Yeah they are an interesting design actually. That top plate is actually mounted on an angle to allow use as a step, the sliders are mounted on an angle like normal sliders.
Yeah I plated my sliders on the GQ after smashing them with wayward sticks and branches.
These have a kicker at the front and the back and the cross braces are all angled which should help deflect hopefully. I will be taking notice though mate for sure.
Funny story.
Naomi went out to pick up daughter then wanted to go for a bigger drive as she really hasn't driven it more than around the block. Off we go and head down the freeway to Werribee. Even with the exhaust it's not bad on the freeway so pretty happy.
Naomi drove it to Werribee and then we swapped and I drove home. Now Naomi hasn't really driven it so was pretty laid back.
I got in the drivers seat and cruised through the Burbs. Amelia in the back seat with a DVD playing with headphones on.
I came up to a Red light out the back of Werribee, just as I came to the line the light went green so I floored it! Bhahahaha! From the back seat Amelia yells Dad! My headphone came off the back of my head! Bhahahaha. I think they both got a surprise. This thing is a Beast.
Bloody Hell!!! What's going on here!!!

We ain't in Kansas anymore. This is NOTHING like working on a GQ or GU. Holy Shit!
2 hours to remove the grille. Damn! Typical Nissan, multiple fixings. (About 30) all bloody different.

This is the Aim. I have had some trouble today and need to speak to Rhino tomorrow as there are couple missing captured nuts damn it and a factory yow point I will need to cut off with a Grinder which they don't detail.
How good does this look though.

The grill is just a couple of clips n just pull the fucker out, well that's what I did to mine...
Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
Brutal. Nah there was way more too it than i thought there would be. The clips down each side of the grill need to be squeezed horizontally which was a bitch then the bottom of the grill needed to be unclipped from underneath. was a MOFO but its off now. The front Bumper was a bit brutal too but wa got it all off.
