How is the marriage between Holden and Nissan going ?
I hope this beast is coming to lancruiser park at the end of the month
Mate I sent a emial off, and unfortunately the truck won't be on the road. Well its drivable but won't be enigineered buy then. Pretty gutted actually, I'm sure there will be a next time and even might do a meet up to celebrate the truck getting back on the road after along ling time.
Cheers jay
mate the bloke I was going through, has gone MIA... still trying to find him... Herd he will be back next month..
Need to get the blue plate done for the chop and child restraints. Should be fine as what I have done is a lot better then needs to be done....
At this stage I wont get it fully engineered just what needs to be done, and take the risk like all of us with hight/tyres size ect (4"and 33's).... Biggest cost will be a lane change test when I go for full engineering..
But when i bought the car i got a safety certificate and it was a pig, and now it drives 100% better and safer with all the aftermarket gear. Go figure and RACQ passed the car with 2 blown shock and a broken engine mount... But I new what I was buying as well, but still blew me away when it came back passed.
Started making up the rear bars today, got passenger side all welded up..
It's removable with 5mm plate, i used 40mm x 3mm square bar. Had it lying around the house so I thought I would used it up. Between the bars I will have the spare wheel ofset down into the tub....

Shaping up boss!! Can't wait to see the progression!! Keep the happy snaps coming ....
What stopped you from putting shorty rear end onto a wagon front and mid section? Just curious.

Sorry mate, miss what your getting at. If I get what your saying it sounds like a he'll of a lot work.
if it helps, its easier to cut the rear windows and leave the as a tub. engineering wise...
Great weekend away shooting in the new Patrol.
(Not mine)
Doing this one up as well, Will post a few pic's of the progress. This is my mates touring truck, and his shooting Rig.
This stage pretty stock, but getting decked out in the rear with homemade draw system, if it is anything like his camper trailer he built from Scratch where in for a treat.

Massive update, not really.
In past 2months this is all I have done, the only time I have had a chance to spend on the 4B
putting in a rear brake light......
Its painfully slow with work/house reno's... Battery is flat and pretty much dead... Good excuse to get a optima fully sealed big cranking battery

Getting there slowly mate!!!
Wadda they say?.... Rome wasn't built in a day
It'll be a beast when its done mate
Looking great mate. Will be absolutely awesome when you have finished. Great watching it evolve.
Mate, I gotta say that this thing is looking FANTASTIC!!!! Gotta love the Matt Black too!!! Absolutely love it!!!
Cheers Guys for the Reply, I cant wait my self.
Getting some metal laser cut next week for my rear bar....... At this stage I've never seen a bar like it.
Bit of a minor set back as some little prick stole my laptop while I was at home, it has all the measurements on there and details of what needed to be done.....but now time and money is going into security ect.... I have a Alarm for inside the house, but no alarm to tell me there is a sneaky little @#$@#$ #$$@#$ #$@$ @#$@# #@#$ %$#$%# bloke only 3m where I was sitting 20sec earlier.
All good though, I took chase and found his wallet, phone t-shirt on the other side of the fence....... Silly little bugger.......Police are involved as my mate is a constable in the area, and another who is a Federal Officer.....And they know my temper and other friend that I do work for. So I cant do much, (YET)
But unfortunately I didn't seen his face BLAH BLAH BLAH, so they cant really do much...But he is a known petty thief and a thorn in there side......
OOOH one other thing, he the prick lives 3 houses up......
That absolutely sucks!!! Feel your pain mate. You found the gear so why is that not enough??? the law looks after which side???????? Hope it all gets sorted so you can concentrate again on your truck.
Back on track soon enough guys, best thing out of this.....I finally get a new dog as the wife is a bit concerned..........I get a staffy back after 10 years without 1,,,,, and 3 been stolen from me in my life time....2 were pure blue staffies.... The reason I post this is because where the patrol goes my new staffy will go. So its apart of my patrol rebuild....
cheers again peeps, looking forward to sharing this build....
Lived in Cairns years ago and a bloke i knew had his staffs stolen. Was discovered who did it an they got bashed and had half of a foot blown off with a 12g shotty Not by the dog owner mind you but by others who had been wronged by this individual

Well since my little mate helped himself into my house and my laptop.I'm putting forward the new fence to tomorrow. And thought I would give the winch and engine a bit of a working as the old girl hasn't moved for a year.
got the battery going which is good as i priced a optima. And $569 at the moment is a little to much.
Hoping to find a few hours this weekend to finish the bogging and painting and going for a sneaky drive. The car is registered and mod plated but not for the chop yet. The canvas bloke lives 10min away so will take it there to get measured up.
That's a good way to check and see if the winch still works!!!!! Keep the pics coming, thanks for the update and look forward to what's next.
Thought I would post some pic's I just took of the car sort off road for the first time In ages. I was trying to winch and snatch the old fence post out. Not even budging, I was even wincing if them. The best cheapest fence going around.
