Yeah I want average joe who is searching for playground equipment, play equipment, commercial playground equipment, school playground equipment, playground equipment Australia etc to find us.
Some we are still kicking goals but some main keywords we got slammed!!!
A hint to anyone in same boat though...
Virtual offices across Australia ;)
Different location results depending on whether I’m signed in to Google or not. Not signed in it says Ballarat when I click on Search Tools. When I am signed in it gives the name of my suburb outside of Ballarat. Typing in Indian Restaurant it list them in Ballarat.
I reckon the differences folk are reporting may be explained by whether they have ever signed in to Google, & possibly how long ago. Eg. Did Doggy last sign into Google when he was in Sydney?
That would be very silly of a multi billion dollar company to cache their last login as there current location though.
Doggy, is that true what cuppa said?
How location is auto-detected
If you don't set your location, Google shows an approximate location based on the following things to help provide you with the most relevant results:
Your IP address.
Your Location History if you have it turned on.
Google Toolbar's My Location feature if it’s turned on.
Recent locations you’ve searched for.
For a 2 or 3 months after I moved to Ballarat from Gippsland, Google maps continued to default to our Gippsland location. Eventually it seemed to sort itself out.
My google says Melb, Vic. Currrent location 56kms off shore.
Sorry, Todd. My multi billion $$$ company are worse..

Attachment 56271
It changed by itself.
perth wa..............
Yeah I noticed at work (I changed my work one from Sydney to warragul) if I type simply "electrician" it shows me all the local sparkies
So if I were to type "playground equipment" for example, would I need to be a bit closer to where you are based for you to be the top result?
