The twin battery system is a "Protecta" ? Anyone know anything about them?
No but I could get a schematic for you tomorrow if you need it
Is it any of these? there are user manuals on this page http://www.projecta.com.au/Products/...x#!prettyPhoto
I'll have to take a pic, but I got a switch under my fuel cap opener lever. Pressed it didn't seem to do anything, looks like a black light switch but a bit rounder
Like this one http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...014/09/120.jpg
I have the projecta setup but the simple solenoid..
The button could be an override???
But you know the story. It's pointless with out pics!!!
So what's the conversion happening?? :-P
How many pages of dribble so far and we haven't even got to any mods yet! LMAO

I've got the Projecta sysytem on mine. Threw the red arc system away and put this one on.. The button in the middle is so you can swap between main and aux.( main batt goes flat, you can start car off aux) Blue light means Charging. Dunno about other button.. Ejector seat maybe ?
its for his vibrator
its actually ProjectA, but no experience with them,
Most use either Piranha or Redarc

It is? This is their logo

They may have changed their branding but when first on the market it was ProjectA.
but most call it Projecta. No big deal though lol Ring them lol

The mystery button. Any ideas? Yes I've pushed it :)
The Projecta 100amp
Annd what's this for???
Trace the wires from the switch and see where they go? Maybe the battery isolator override? Hear any relays when it is switched?
I think the 2nd switch is the engine idle up switch used to warm the motor up quicker? Have you pressed that one?
This GU thing is too complicated for your old brain!
As Winnie said, the switch on the right is a fast idle switch, it is disabled as soon as you accelerate.
The switch under the fuel cap release could be for anything, usually a blank hole there.
Yeah I reckon it might be to link batteries. What Winnie said trace the wires should solve it.
Nice truck good luck with it sure it will progress nicely. Shame I never got to meet old g :(
Agree with shitbag, it's the override switch and the idle up switch:)
The idle up will disengage as soon as you put it into gear and then stop working when temp is up
Manual override(this is from their website, I'm not that cleva)
Manual override is activated by connecting the override
wire to 12V DC. This bypasses the automatic voltage sensor
allowing the relay to be engaged below the set voltages.
So shortly on the mods will be lift and tyres
2" Dobinson coils and shocks keeping legal boring :)
285 75 r16 KM2's 99% sure. Do love me Mickey T's and they have done me well so may still be swayed :)
