Good looking dog, but I must not show these pictures of to young muddy nut. Or I will have to contend with... "Can we get another puppy, Daddy? Please? Please?" for weeks.
great looking dog has those koolie colours about him.
Causing you much grief being a pup??
Amy and I looking at getting a pup, I want either a Labrador or a Staffy. Love those staffies!
Winnie I always wanted a staffy too as I grew up with a couple. But the Ms convinced me to get a border collie and honestly I wouldn't get any other dog now i don't think.
I have had 2 border collies and both have been super smart and good dogs. They just are super energetic but plenty of walks or plays and they are fine
I have had Kelpies but I am not home enough to give them the exercise and attention they need. A border collie is just the same as a Kelpie.
I love labs but a staffy is what I really want.
Fair enough. I'm home a fair bit during the day and the wife works from home so he spends plenty of time with us
Our house is empty for 10 hours a day. Not good for a dog with such high energy like that.
OOH Bob, your dog is adorable, it looks very smart and cute! :)
Has anyone seen a dog that sits like this.

And no she is not cleaning herself, that is how she chooses to sit.

This is our 5 Month old Pure bred German Sheppard Metti
I have never known dogs to sit like that, other than her. Must be a common thing then.
Threedogs: no can't breed her know as she is de sexed , I wanted to but the misses wouldn't have a bar of it. She is a staff x bull Arab.

yeah My folks Lab sits like that, mine do too on the odd occasion
I love Sheppards, and used to own one. Unfortunately we got him at 10 months old, and for what ever reason, used to hate women and kids. Sadly, we had to put him down because he bit my nephew - not bad, but enough to say good bye. His name was Mallee. I'd love to own another one, but I'll openly admit I haven't got time to take the time and care an animal needs.
Rossco
That is sad, I am personally a big fan of Sheppard's and have also wanted one for a long time. So has my partner.. We are at present trying too get the mouthing out of our girl, too stop her nipping at us when she doesn't get her way
Gotta be firm and maybe a little heavy handed with shepards they are smart and will challenge authority. My wookie is German Shepard x alaskan malamute he turned out well and loves kids.
We took on an abused blue healer and he bit everyone of us untill we put him in his place showed him love and gave him a sense of belonging into a pack now my sisters 18month and 4 year old kids climb all over him and he loves it. It took time and even though you can never trust any animal especially humans our dogs IMHO are very close to it
Our blue doing his best work LOL
Slashing grass with my mate Sam on the old Fergy
Our jack Russell sits like that sometimes too.
My dog Indi.

He was a good dog but on a recent camping weekend he chose to get in the back of a mates disco instead of my patrol so i had to disown him.

My two little jack Russell's missy and jersey. Don't let the cute looks fool you- they are killers to the core, unless of course you can rub them on the belly first or feed them a treat!
We live on acreage and haven't seen a snake or rat in years...
@ Fletch you need to be firm with big dogs as they will try and dominate you early,
Ive had big dogs all my life and love em. Push your dog to the ground and dont let it up ,
this will tell it that you are the dominant one. do this for a few months on and off
and after time it will know you are the boss, and never take no for an answer.
They are one of the smarter breeds going around
This was my best mate till recently ,his name was Jack he weighed in at 55kg and was 32" at the shoulder
One big pussy cat, not a bad bone in his body, he was mates with my other dog Crooza a pig dog that never left the couch
Sadly I had to put both of them down as old age got the better of them:(
This is my 10yo wheaten border collie "Goose" (from top gun) and Samii the Dalmatian who's now 2yo. Goose is getting on now so no more acrobatics but he used to be able to catch a ball from almost any angle.
Goose was born in my back yard while we were looking after his parents due to their owners having a bike accident so he's been next to me from day one.
