Well done Chris, that looks awesome man, very envious of you mate great buy.
Nice score Kris!! Congrats on the new playpen !! Looks like you'll be making tons of new mates hahahaa
When will the track building start?
That looks bloody brilliant mate, congratulations.
Out of interest, what sort of cost is something like that in Aus?...Not asking what you paid, but just a ball park figure.
Logistically, it's gunna be cheaper for me to fly over and hire a GU ute to visit you.
If push comes to shove, I'll settle for a hired GQ ute. PML.
So....when there's no mozzies, snakes, flies or other creepy crawlies lurking, give me a call.
Seriously, congrats, and I expect an invite to the trashing. hahaha.
Rossco.
PS, you need to sort our your footy tipping too. I'm not relying on you any more. lol.
Hi Nisshead, I haven't met anyone on here yet, but now that your going to be putting on the spit once a year for us, I might be able to plan a trip. Awesome looking block bloke. Same thing as what the missus and I want! Great Stuff! Living our dreams!
Actually that should be the next meet up after the simpson trek
Nice one mate .Real happy for you and your family . How's the serenity ? Looking forward to drinking a beer with you around that campfire bud .
Nice, place. Big enough to go for primary producer status? If so then your 4x4 can be claimed on tax:)
Now ya got it let me know some dimensions for that project..
My mate wants to come up for a cattle muster... Hahaha
Yeah they have been breeding in the hills for 15 years. LOL The old fella shot about 70 bulls already but still few left to cull...shooting practice:)
I was thinking of slowly taming the cows with salt blocks and feed . Last time I was there there were about 6 having a feed on the block and didn't run away when I got within 100meters or so .
I'm just a newby to this so will be asking experts a lot of questions...
An Hour from your house Kris!! Still in shock mate! So Envious of you mate, Most here will be so. Good on you bloke. the price is simply Silly! Naomi was amazed too. A Dream Block for sure. An HOUR FROM YOUR DOOR!!!!!! FARK!
I will probably lob up there some time mate with the camper for some quiet time. Have faith i will happily invite myself. ;)
We change bulls every 3 years if they have been going fir 15 years there will be some angry in bred bulls for sure. You would really want your yards fixed then round them up push them threw the yard and feed them do this often. But may just have to shoot them all. Beef prices are terrible and can't sell them un branded and immunised etc plus the bad breeding won't help. I can borrow my mates 375h&h and 416 ruger for the mad bastards once they get too wild there's no turning back they would even pay to shoot as they want a trophy bull if they got big racks on them. Don't mess with bulls they are dangerous. Roofy would be one to ask I've only been learning cattle for 2 years
That place is awesome.
I was up around Numeralla and Bredbo last week for work and couldn't believe how many people I spoke to that said they've got problems with pigs and deer.
I know where I'd be going every Friday arvo after work if that was my place
Bow and bulls..................bring it on what a farkn rush
An hour from ACT.... What state in Oz is your new abode? lol
I'll send you up a game camera to leave on a prime spot....
Get stuffed then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Macca is right people will definitely want a trophy scrub bull.
I was once on a hunt in Sth West QLD on this particular day a mate was after a trophy scrub bull. We caught up with them and my mate hit his chosen bull in the engine room (heart/lung) with his 338 (its a pretty bloody huge calibre). It folded up and dropped stupidly he put down his rifle and started to walk up on it with his video camera, when he got some where between to far from his rifle and dead the mad wounded bull got back up. If it wasn't for 2 really fast accurate shots from another mate with his 30 06 the day would have ended in disaster.
I personally wouldn't initially chase that herd of cattle you have there with out some really experienced hands. Once you have culled/sorted them out then have a play with some less experienced people.
That place looks awesome a real hidden treasure.
And 1 of these. Theyre bloody gold http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LEUPO...item4862f036f1
Range finders are for poofs!!!!!!!!
I'd love to help with the cattle not only shoot wild ones but run them through the race. I've branded drenched and scalped ringed and bizezered cattle 5 tines now with our black angus herd about 200 head. We have one wild bull that we need to shoot as he's breeding now . If you're keen mate give me a month notice I'll come for a hunting working trip and bring my bike for muster and a mate or two to help to with scrub bulls. I'm no expert only 5 goes with experienced hand but I love it
