They don't need bookings, just get there early. I'm keen for that. They have awesome meals there you'd be mad not to go.
Can I come along on this trip???
I dont use a bow.....
No time for hunting. We've only got 3 days to spend in God's country.
Are you going Amy? Does he make you hand feed him garlic ball while he's driving too?
Ok. As a high country newby what should I bring.
We have the basics, food water basic recovery gear.
What else is critical?
Yea are packing for winter although the weather does look nice..
Yeah I've only been up there as drive through not camping or 4x4-ing. And one second it was perfect sunny with views to kill for, and as we literally turned a corner in a van on the great alpine rd, the weather turned too. Started snowing, temp dropped by 10C in no time and it was time for different clothes and a heater.
How hard are we going?
What sorta spares?
Will have gas cooker, have just filled to bottle..
Do ya's do happy hour?
Still hoping a certain few put there hands up for this trip....
Also love the idea of dinner at Dargo..... Saturday night???

I'm a bit unsure mate but don't ride me off just yet.
We are doing our family reunion Murray at Easter and supposed to be there until Anzac Day but trying to work out if my brother and his family want to pack up and head over on Anzac straight from strathmerton.
I'm working it mate!
Strathmerton...we have our special spot where you need a basic 4wd to get in.
Keeps all of the young commodore teenagers away and just mostly prado families..lol
Quiet spot, 50m wide x 200m sand front and most people camp away from the banks but we go across the sand and camp right next to the river!
10min from town and hot showers...awesome!
