That's what im liking of a bow. There quiet.
So target practice can be had at any old quarry and you won't stir up shoit.
i do it in my back yard but i can only get a 25m shot in then i need to go elsewhere
I can only get 10m safely into the shed as a back stop
I could get more but I'd be shooting past the back door and my wife would kill me ! Or vies versa lol
Why not jam open the back door and set your self up at the front door
and position your target at the back fence, surely 50 mtrs then lol
So everyone says buying from us is cheaper.. Is that still true with current dollar??
I'm not sure ATM, You could alway try going to your local as they will have used bows for sale and you could pick up a bargain or ebay in a good brand ( pse Hoyt bear Mathews) the only issue with this is unless new you don't know if its been dry fired or torqued and damaged the limbs
New bow retail

Yea that's a fair whack outta the budget..
Don't wanna spend Huges bucks incase I don't like it..
Also I draw with right hand, so I'm after a right handed one yea??
That bow is just an example of the savings just do research and find a bow you like in your budget and shop around.
It's not left hand right hand its dependant on eye dominance make a hole between your hands and look through it making eye contact with your missus and the eye she can see it the dominant eye and that will determine what side you shoot, having said that you can shoot with the wrong side (I do) you just have to close one eye but this is not eyedeal hehe
I'm one of the odd ones left eye but right handed

bummer if you have a glass eye.lol
@ Mega I saw a guy on Blokes world dry fire a compound bow, other than give him the biggest bruise/blood blister on his forearm
What damage is done to the bow ? do the arms fracture or something
Yup you can definitely splinter the arms
Yea I'm right eye for sight to, know this from doing field and game a while back.
So is the right hand or left hand draw??
Left holds the bow and right draws the string for a right handed
Sent from my iPhone using Motorculture mobile app
And yep buying from us is much cheaper, just need to check on postage to oz some mobs wont do it
sort of like fishing where they say you wind with your dominate hand
if right handed and the left arm holds the rod
For $200 better off sussing out second hand from an archery shop mate, maybe a recurve
Well I got a bow.. Lol
Free.. Even better.
It's an Atunga.. Don't hurt me..
Right. It needs some work.
I have addressed the cable carrier, thatching which holds the cables aside of the string.
Now I need a site, bow rest, release much and some sorta device either a kisser or peep sight..
Is there much difference in the low priced stuff to the high?
Sure I expect the $100 optical sight to be wicked, but what about releases?? Is it worth forking out $100 aswell or are the cheaper ones good??
Tru-fire release aid is fine
Optical sight for target pins for hunting
Been on the Australian bow hunters site, what mobile app do they use?? If any??
Tapatalk...
Yea didn't show. Shall have another look at home
Atunga,
65lbs draw weight
30" draw
58" string length
Attachment 44941
He has 3 aluminium arrows, 1's farked..
Sights crap
Attachment 44942
Came with a arrow carrier but it blocks a lot of view so will probably leave it off..
I am concerned however about the cable keeper I made, think I've made it to wide..
Attachment 44943
Is that a good offset for the cables from the strings?? Or to much??
This is how mine sits
As I thought to much..
so Growlers is about 19-25mm say,
must pull me finger out and get me one.
We have OD now for any quality leather work his stuff is A grade for sure
Yea I'm about 15mm to far..
Yea you don't want to torque the strings and have a dry fire as a result. Can you bend it up so it doubles as a string stopper also with a rubber end on it
I only use rifles. However I have seen the aftermath of a mate stand hunting in a tree above a big mob of goats with his bow. Some of the most efficient culling I have seen, they had no idea.
That's ok, google'd it
Also any of you guys have setup gear?
Need a string square, a couple of knocking points the don't want??
Looking at one of the kits

No worries .. Just bend it out for the string guide then back in to where the nocking string is with a soft rubber end on the rod and you will also need to put some serving on your string where it comes in contact with the string stop/suppressor. Makes a big difference to the sound of the bow .
Plenty of vids on youtube about bowstring serving also and a real heavy braided fishing line will work also.
Like this one but.. . It just depends on the bow also as when you draw back the 2 strings that are guided will move back and may go past the point of where your nocking string sits undrawn in this case you can make one that comes off the stabilizer hole. This is whAt I've had to do
Sweet.
I'll see how it all goes with the stopper
Also have read to run points aswell as string, seems weird to me also..
I'll just run the release string
