1982 Fiat 128 1300cc. It had 24000km on the clock when I got it and after 2 years I sold it with 75000km on the clock.
I have no idea on how many cars I have been through but I remember counting something like 24 before I was 21. I'm 32 now and have slowed down the auto trading somewhat. Always looking though, sucker for punishment.
First car was XD Falcon sedan,.got rid of it after a couple of weeks (still on L plates) and bought a sh@t hot worked XC sedan, black, 351 detroit locker 9", etc, etc. very fun and very very powerful! List continues from there. Didn't like paying rego lol.
Big worked V8 on L plates? ? ? ? Omg!
First car was a vk injected dunnydore 3.3l black motor really straight nice car till i rolled it 3 times onto train tracks ooppss...f***ing QR charged me a fortune for that recovery :P, then went to a vq statesmen now this was a beast by time i sold it (had to young family) was a blown 383 stroker, with water injection (plus toooo much else to post), blower peaked at 15.6 pounds of boost :D, that ran a flat 9 down quarter (got asked to leave willowbank lol)...wish i had that coin to put into my GQ lol.

had a choice of 3 cars for my first.
1. a lj torana with milk crates for seats. but had a tidy 308 in it. Old man test drove it, came back with huge smile on face and said " NO "
2. Original a9x mint condition. Again too much power for the ol man's liking.
I ended up with a 1980 2 door escort 2 litre with the quick shift box. this thing cost me a lot of money, but damn it was a good car
ozz
Bugger. A9x would have been great

91 VP comodore nothing fancy for 5 G's
but learnt to drive (when I reached the pedals and the olds were out) in a 1981 subaru leone, old man taught me to drive in a 79 datsun 200B poo brown. Had to drive her like you stole it (we installed the wrong head in it and the compresion decreased pfff) he was too lazy to change it. Miss that Dato
My first car was and is my 1984 Mk patrol, l28 engine 4speed box
datsun 120y :D
Learnt to drive on an old David brown tractor. Then got to drive dads old Isuzu Ute around the bush. First car was a Holden scurry bongo van-freedom on wheels lol!

Fiat 850 sports for me....10 years old thrashing round a paddock....11 years old got onto the gravel...WOOOHOOO !!!! 12 years old I found tar seal and thought.."..how the hell do people fall off this stuff?!? "...
I bought a Morris Minor before I was old enough to drive with an idea that I'd spend some time restoring it but didn't have the income to match the aspiration! Sold it to my brother ;-)
My first "real" car was a Ford Fiesta 1100 although I can't remember ever taking a photo so nothing to show for it.
Promoted to management at the Rover Group pretty soon after and have spent the rest of my life driving brand new cars. Now looking for a 2003/04/05 Y61 Patrol 3.0 Di SVE as a "third car" in our family of two drivers... ;-)
First car was a 196X VW Beetle. Took me everywhere, just very slowly!
First new car was http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps669fee5a.jpg
Saw it in town last year, 20 years after I sold it, with QLD plates on it.
1991 toyota corolla hatch, couldnt kill it
Rode motorbikes most of my life {road} raced them as well, first car was a 68 XT ford ute $400
went everywhere in it , sold to mate for $450 as fixed radiator, brought it back for $500 as new radio fitted.
that changed hands 5 times, last time I saw it was selling for $2500. think sedans are a waste of time
either owned a wagon or ute, but gotta love a ute IMO
97 Camry (4x4 tray back) ... It's amazing how many bags of cement you can put in a sedan lol, and could take it anywhere
Lh torana 179hp triple webers
A 1988 mitsubishi express van, I got for free as it was on 3 cylinders. I had a sliding door on each side, a queen size bed in the back, with enough room for the surf board and drum kit.
put rego and tyres on it and sold it a year later for $1200
My first car was a little 86 pajero shorty.

Not making Holden anymore , A9X now priceless
I'm lucky enough to have a brother in law with a HQ one tonner he doesn't want
I've taken it off his hands to "do up" STD 253 V8
1st car was a TE cortina with the 250 cross flow motor handled like a boat drank fuel worse than my brothers 333 torana. But it only cost me 2 g and sold it a year later for the same money. I learnt to drive in my dad L28 MK patrol up at wedge island

Gaddy
1973 series 3 landrover. Hadnt changed design much since the late 40s when they first came out. Shifting gears was like stiring a pot of coal. 4 wheel drum brakes. Was more effective to open the door and use my feet to stop. No aircon but constant heating. Was painful in the warmer months. Always had a set of ear muffs in the car too otherwise my ears would bleed on the longer trips. Still have it too.
Mine was mk111 zephyr with 6 cylinder engine and auto trans, what a weapon, I would love to get it back along with a few other cars and motorbikes I sold.
Bought a pristine '67 Falcon. It had a 170 pursuit engine with a three speed crunch box. Had it 18 mths before it was T-boned. Got $600 from the other driver. I used the wreck as a bush bomb for a while; then stripped it and sold the shell for $50.
Would have loved a Studebaker boy I loved the ones with the chev motor, built like a brick out house
but was drawn to motor bikes first bike was a 650 triumph trophy with a bonneville head, which means single carb head
replaced with a twin carb one T120, one bike ran 10.5sec 1/4 and 280 kph straight out of the box
only 30 came to Aus,
68 hk wagon 161cu of sheer power pumped through the 3 on tree crash box
1963 Ford Consul Cortina 1200cc 4 speed manual. Owned it for a couple of years. Went O.K. for size of engine but no no match for the E.H. Holden 179's and Falcons. Took it down the Bridle Trail at Hill End Sofala one long weekend with a few mates on board. Traded it for a new 68 Holden Kingswood.
My first car was a 93 telster big rims and a banging stereo, my dad came to Australia and bought a xb Fairmont coup with factory 351 his bro had a cobra and his bro in law had a 351 gtho.
Bloody typical wogs lmao I still lol when I see the pics with the mullets and flair cord pants.
cheers stevo.
In the UK. An Austin Cambridge A60 sedan. Not sure what year but think it would have been mid sixties. Scrapped it after breaking a brake bleed nipple off. Getting it fixed was going to cost more than the car was worth!
First car in Australia, in 1987 was a Holden HQ Premier wagon, a '73 model I think, 253 motor & Trimatic auto. Car was named 'Nellie' & was a great car. All sorts of things went wrong with it over the several years we had it, but the electric rear window never failed! Loved the motor & the 'kickdown' on the auto. It limited slip diff took us to places that other non 4wd's couldn't manage. Still think the HQ's are great looking cars.
Cuppa
XF fairmont dumped on its ass, worked straight six, Alpine twin tape/cd player, two 15" subbies, two 8" subbies and more. My car was so low I couldn't get to some places let alone some drive ways. I would knock over a packet of ciggies standing on its side.
NISSAN pulsar sedan - oh well at least it was a Nissan. And a VTR-250 - at least it was a bike!
Jas
1975 mini clubman 1100, $900. Gear stick broke off on the way home! Great car, loved it and fully rebuilt it. pulled the motor out myself and had it rebuilt, resprayed and full interior. Wish I had never sold it. A lot of fun!
1985 Toyota Celica. 2.0L carby with the 5 speed manual. It was pretty slow, but the gearbox was awesome!

My first road rego'd car was a 1964 Valiant "S" Type with four wheel drum brakes and push button automatic.
Bought it off the local Holden dealer after my Dad traded it on a 308 HQ Statesman.
Then onto the Torana's, first a nice little mission brown LC four door then an original LC GTR 186, triples (Dual throat strongberg std), 30/70 cam, lowered to the hilt. Woohoo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, oh where have the years gone my friend,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,
The first car i owned was a 1969 Datsun 1600, loved it and wish i still had it.
First car I legally drove was a HQ Wagon with 3 on the tree, before that when i was about 13 my brother taught me how to drive in a 1948 Morris Minor.
