I'll bet it's not a HZ. HQ with HZ front. Everyone did it with the Q's back in the day.
@NP99. You idiot. The wreckers don't even want those. Lol.

@ Mudski do you even know what a rat P76 goes for these days.
awesome 4.4 alloy motor, its just they look shite, see if you can find a pic of a "force7" P76 it may change your mind
Has to be plenty of "shed finds" still to this day
I had a mate pick up an old car from a farm in Beechworth in the early 80s. Just before he left the lady asked him if he was interested in any of her deceased husbands military stuff. He bought home his pistol and holster from ww1 and she hated it. My mate scored that bargain for free...

Lol yeah I forgot John that ugly was back in. I could imagine how much someone would pay for one of those in mint condition. Pretty much any old car these days in mint condition goes for a bit.
Must get a pic of the A9X SLR 5000 Torana looking thing around the corner.
It has club plates so not driven often but very very clean.
Think Growler would love it, even if it is red with black graphics'
Big Bathurst drop tank looks awesome
If ugly was back in I'd be a millionaire LOL
A good friend of mine is the guru for all things F100 1950's, he passed a farm one day with a skeleton wreck in the paddock and asked the farmer if he wanted to sell.
Farmer said if you can get it out you can have it for free, turned out to be rusted out 1956 F100, sold the badge on the bonnet for $500
cabin was a throw away but chassis doors and bonnet were keepers.
He was the guy who figured out how to build a tilt front on the F100's.
He will more than likely have it out today, being sunny
It is a very nice looking set up, he also has a HQ ish ute cut into a one tonner but that looks Shite.IMO
Might of been radical in the day though
Yep, saw a few yesterday perfect day for it. This was one Attachment 49693
Being a holden/Chev fan, but can still appreciate a nice looking car.
@ NP99 can you find a pic of a Force 7 P76 for all to see

Go figure only ten left on the planet
I will have to find photos of my mum's partner's NA Fairlane... Peter Brock edition
Old cars hey..... I've got a few kicking about hahaha and few of the members have seen my collection lol needed a bigger factory.....
My bff's brother had a HJ pulling mid tens back in the mid late 70's
one of the faster units going around at the time
@ Mudski its not out but I'll grab a pic next time I see it for you
I keep telling my brother to get his first car again and build a beast, which was a XC GXL 351 but he is determined to buy and build a Road runner.
I just can't get him to change his mind.
XC wagon lowered nice fat wheels and a 351 oh yeah.
Ive only heard about the roadrunner, whats the other one a Yenco or something
Some memorable XBs and a XC :)
For those wanting to build a XB black interceptor.......

Any pics of his Torana? Love those cars. Holden should do another Torana, just like they did for the Sandman and Monaro.
I have amongst other road reports the original Sandman 4x4 write up.
Not bad for a bloke in Tassie to get full factory backing for his dream
This guy did not do the XY 4x4 utes as far as I know, they were based on the FJ55 tojo
I have wanted one of those utes, since about '84, when I saw an immaculate one zipping through Maribyrnong.
I found this interesting article about the XY 4x4: http://www.truckjungle.com/2012/08/1...alcon-4x4-ute/
No toyota chassis, thats the modern copy
Original had Dana diffs under reinforced std chassis
Worth crazy $$ now
Now i'm not sure if my car counts but nonetheless... I still have my UC Torana, (not the Sunbird), red 202, automatic. Needs a new paint work. Have done some basic work: holley 350, extractors, smaller starter motor and suspension changed to meet the SLR5000 design. Also put on a set of centreline rims with yokohama tyres. Corners very nicely too. But it's been stored away for some years now ever since i started buying newer cars.
