By golly gee. What a day it will be. You will be fine Macca. My tyres don't allow be to do sh@t
by the sounds of it i wont be the only one struggling being as its my first time behind the wheel offroad
im just happy i wont be the only one that might hold everything up
You'll be fine great bunch of people and you'll learn heaps. never second guess your navi just do as you're told pretty much the guys here will get you doing stuff you wouldn't dream of very safely and you'll learn heaps. takes awhile to get over the angles and fear of rolling but you get use to it
nice work just be gentle I have a surf and 4 runner coming with me and my tyres and suspention are flogged out so I'll be struggling to keep up but give it a good go.
That's the good thing about glasshouse generally there's chicken tracks round all the harder stuff makes the day easier for everyone!
Pretty keen now can't wait.
True mate - easy tracks around 90% of anything harder .. we usually navi for everyone who wants/needs guidance and truth be told, there's a few decent little areas that people can have a lash on short, hard tracks where you can't really do any damage as such and can reverse straight out of, so there'll be plenty of opportunity for everyone ..
Safety, fun and ensuring everyone drives home (in an unbroken truck) with a smile on their dial is our priority ...
Was out there today and conditions are quite good if it stays dry will be a ripper of a run on wedensday have sussed a run out that everyone should enjoy with options along the way for the more capable and willing guys to have a go looking forward to it :)
sweet lets hope it stays dry i cant wait to get out there
possible storm for tomorrow could get better
x2 shame I cant make it, had a good day today mate cheers.
come wednesday you will realise that there is soo much stuff we miss out on going to our regular spot first. everything of difficulty has one/multiple sissy tracks so its fun for everyone,
the new airdown point is also a play area, a good little warm up.
Looking forward to seeing them - I've explored a fair bit of other areas as my mate lives on Chambers Road (borders the forest), but being he's in a BT50, I don't exactly go out of my way to tackle the tougher tracks when I'm with him, so look forward to having a lash at some new stuff ...
here is the only vid I got today of matt (nissannewby) on a hill climb, which you guys will be going down on wednesday
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpfvA...ature=youtu.be
and some flex shots (for a change)
yea i shouldnt have watch that lol
You'll be right champ. Some vids don't show how hard they are but some don't show how easy they can be either.
you will be right mate there will a few of us out to guide everyone should be a swell day?
Looks like fun guys. Looking forward to seeing some more footage.
tappin it
forecast for gumboots : showers possible storm tomorrow
Wrong attitude it is not going to rain :) if it does its only gonna be enough for dust suppression.
A little rain would be good for settling the dust as per newby's comment. The lower tracks stay wet but it would take a fair downfall today to really slop things up ...
"She'll be right" is the position I'm taking currently!!
Ok have just been through the thread and done a count there are 13 of us i have 2 coming with me plus another 8 who are possibly tagging along with others so that puts us at 21 vehicles. Awesome being up the front hopefully i will be able to get pics of everyone coming through. I am looking forward to what is looking like an awesome day :)
Soooooooo, is tomorrow still on?
I haven't had much rain out my way.
The 8.30-9.00am meet time at the BP is good for me, unless some of the south side guys want to meet up earlier and travel up together?
Yeah it's still on got no rain where I am and I'm within half hour of the location and still 8:30-9 at northbound bp caboolture
Those that are going to convoy up from Browns Plains (Torq4X4) if we can leave there about 7:45 would be good. Will be meeting Bigrig and a couple of others at Nudgee at about 8:15.
Sorry for those that may be joining in on this convoy Torq are at 3/82 Johnson Rd Hillcrest. There is a servo a few doors up. Probably better to meet there
How many people are going on this trip?
I can't be bothered going through these 12 pages to find out...LMAO
I'm on southside but Redlands area so it's out of my way to meet at torq4x4 I'll meet use at nudgee at 8.15.
