K&n air filter for 3l commonrail?

i put a new clutch in this year also, went with the safari cost me over $2700 ouch!

I have been told on a few occasions that the genuine air filter is the way to go.

Bump - grimace -what happened and what was the outcome please ?

bought an original air filter and did the fuel filter, then just by chance after cleaning the truck after a bit of wheel'n i got the plug wet that goes to the steinbuaer and discovered that the problem was with the harness, not sure what because they never got back to me after replacing it. i don't know why i havn't taken the whole thing off because i am too scared to plug it in and use it because it has been so good without it....cheers....
