Like Rossco I thought you had gone mad and bought a Cruiser, had me worried.

You have not gone to the dark side, you have left it and seen the light, I have had Apple and was very happy to piss it off and go Samsung.

I love the Notes. Had a 2 then upgraded to the 4. Not sure if I will upgrade when the next one finally comes out, I like the replaceable battery.
Love the stylus, so handy for doing quick notes and drawings at work.
Also use the camera and zoom to read rating plates behind equipment or when they print them so small.
Had an issue with mine and excessive battery use. Found it was the Telstra app, wouldn't let me uninstal, but let me remove the updates, no more battery issues.

Lol, you have lost me?? I have already downloaded a Torch App for this S8 and put it in a convenient spot for me. I use the torch alot and i like just having it where i want it. I wasnt happy woth where the S8 put the factory one either...

Life is so much easier with out all this techno stuff
no stress about a torch light just get it out of the cupboard or truck
life is easy

If it's still not doing what you want try disconnecting the battery.

One of the benefits of retiring was getting rid of Samsung S6 with Internet access with bells & whistles and going to :-

a Samsung Flip Phone with no Internet , a Phone that takes Pics that you can just see and to answer you just open it up
