It won’t do any harm. Give it a try & I suspect you’ll like it.

car is not on the road yet will see how we go when it is ready for rego
Well. It's quieter that's for sure..
Not sure it'll add any fuel efficiency but it's only done half a tank..
Well fellas the jury has returned a verdict here.
After buggering my first tank figures, bogged for two hours see happy thread, the second tank proved successful.
With 50/50 miss daisy and highway work the end result was closer to GOOD highway figures than I might reasonably have expected.
Very much looking forward to a full tank as highway driving alone.
Big thumbs up from me Cuppa!
I personally didn't notice any efficiency increase..
I actually lost 1L/100 but I have added roof bars and awning.. and from my previous figures that usually looses that 1L..
So for me initial tests are coming in not a negative but not the be all end all..
I have noticed a lot less ticking and rattle.. so in my eyes that's a bonus..
i have been keeping an eye on this topic for a while . the 2 stroke oil rarely seems to give better fuel economy , but in almost every case tends to quiet down the injector noise , which would indicate better lubrication of the injectors , which would in turn suggest a longer service life . although at this stage , how much longer would only be a guess . no one seems to have racked up big k's on a CRD whils't using 2 stroke the whole time . time allowing i'll try to work out a rough cost/benifit . what is a new / reco set of injectors worth , and then labour to fit . biggqwesty what ratio are you running , it seems mix's are running any where from 200 / 1 to 500 / 1 . it would be good to do tests too determine at what ratio would be the leanest that could be used . but i can't do that as it takes me about 8 weeks to use 1 tank of fuel normally .
I'm half way through my second tank with 2t in it. I have been putting in abut 400 ml per 90 liter tank. Right now the engine is super quiet . Haven't noticed any economy improvement or performance difference.

that's about 225-1 hodge . maybe the 4.2's need a different mix as they run lower pressures
485ml seems to be the magic number thrown around for a full tank in a GU... I run it few every few tanks, I get no better/worse economy but it sure does make the motor quieter.. And the piece of mind that gives me is enough reason to keep using it.
