I have an old catalog of Opposite Lock dating from late 70s to earl 80 I'll check that.
Not sure that frame was after market IMO I'd say OE as holes were in D pillar
The frame itself was tubular
Any early MQ/MK owers have OE swing away framework ??????

@ bauer have you have any success with the jerry can holder on ebay, he had 2 for sale. to get it you might be able
to use the forum members and get them to you via a relay style system. I've been unble to find any info on it only the pajero
unit, but same jerry.all I know is they are wider than a STD jerry

Gday three dogs , Have got a reply and he is at 2753 NSW so have asked for dimensions weight etcn so can get idea of postage for item but courier system through forum members is great idea also. If I could get it to Gold Coast where the inlaws live that would be great. Need to win auction first as well. The other one he has I don’t think is one of them. The Pajero cans you mention do they have a two piece lid like the Nissan ones.
Thanks

I remember they had that same ribbed screw lid, when fitted to the 4x4 it looked complex but was a simple
back pack style webbing strap to hold it tight. Not that good on the computer but looking for the Pajero one might be easier than the Nissan one.
I cant remember the nissan ones at all, I can remember the external swing away tyre holder but not sure of model. When I first joined someone was retro fitting one
But cant remember who it was. I'll keep asking here, have you contacted the Nissan patrol club in your state. They may have one eyed members like the Landrover club.
By that meaning someone may have a stock STD example fully optioned.

Gday Three Dogs ,As it looks like you've been around a bit is there anyway that I can link this thread or connect it somehow to the MQ forum seeing as this jerry seems to be related to MQ and I,ve seen a few photoes of the ebay holder (which I,m about to stick a bid on) on the back of MQ spare tyre / jerry holders. Wouldn,t mind trying to get hold of one to graft onto the back of the GQ. Thanks for any help

A real luddite with computers, You only have 1.2 hrs left. Could PM AB and see if he's able to help.
Good idea grafting in onto a Q........... positive there is some pics on this. I remember as the guy put gussets up the D pillars.
Sorry I cant help more, buy the more complete one too. Goodluck, Price now is fair but for history about half again tops
I just googled MQ patrol parts and clicked images, you'll find heaps of pics of the rear bracket that holds wheel and jerry
