Looks a treat mate!! Watching this closely as i'll b doing this conversion to my GU, just a silly question do you need a body lift to fit any of the components in or is just coz u want ground clearance ??
originally was for the clearance, but im glad i did as the Genie headers (pacemakers) i found are an absolute pain to fit with the motor in the chassis. I ended up fitting them from underneath removing the front sway bar and sliding them up. the 2" body lift makes it much easier to run fuel lines, wiring, and just generally to work on the vehicle. it literally took less than half an hour to fit the lift.
my engine bay is a complete mess at the moment, but im on the home straight, hopefully it will be turn key tomorrow afternoon.. im looking forward to hear this run
I hope you have a video recorder going when u turn that key, I wanna hear this thing come 2 life :)
Awesome looking project mate. That is one VERY nice looking engine....... and i love your signature too, its great:)

I'm glad to say it's running. had a couple of issues, couple of minor fuel leaks, and minor coolant leak.
as requested, here a video (3rd start after sorting the issues, so the motor is still warm). it's running extremely rich, low rpm. it was recorded with my gopro HD with a full water proof case so you might want to turn up your volume.
also, the fuel reg was sitting at 96 psi in this video, has been adjusted back to 55psi (to be safe). much crisper after adjustment and i didn't go through 2ltr's of fuel in 15mins.
it would be a very tight fit with the bellhousing adapter attached to the gearbox, but it's worth a shot, it takes 2mins to pull the headers off if it is too much of a struggle. another way to squeeze them in (not sure if it would work) would be to bolt up the bellhousing adapter once all in position and lift the motor without the engine mounts bolted up and then slot in the headers. im glad someone else likes the sound of the blower, i'll have to get a decent vid with the exhaust note.
thats an awsome project mate and sounds wicked too
Ok cool, well i hope when i'm ready to do mine i could just sit the headers in the engine bay then fit the motor fingers crossed that the GU's engine bay is a bit bigger then the GQ's and cant wait for your next video bud!!
