What are people's thoughts about the risks of a second hand long range tank?

I Wouldnt hesitate on one if i could pick it up for 2-300 bucks, as long as there wasnt any serious rust i couldnt fix, eg rust holes. Even if there was a hole punched through it i would consider it, you just need to know a competent welder to fix it but i wouldnt be paying 300 for it in that case. The trick is not knowing what exactly to look for with these sorts of things but bringing someone who does, haha. Good luck with it all mate.
