Hey guys just so you know, that one that looked like a rattle gun is electronicly controled. They are don't rattle but wind up using planerty gears and when the torque is reached they just stop. We use a cordless one at work and it is fantastic. Ours goes up 2 3000ft/lb and costs as much as a small country. Not sure if it would put teddy down for the count but. lol
I'd like one of these warren & brown ones http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Warren-Br...item3cc97cc1f1
But instead i have one of these supercheap ones http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...05#Description
It does the job clicks like you say but doesn't release if it did you would bash your knuckes up.
One thing to remember though is always take the tension all the way out when you have finished using them .
dont forget to wind them down after use because the mechanisum is under pressure and in time calibration will goe out
that is why i usethe beam one
hope you find this helpfull
stephen
Warren and Brown are very good tools do not skimp on torque wrenches these are definitely one of those things that you should outlay the extra cash for.
