So you buy it in a bottle to pour into a bottle then into a glass, why not just drink from the first bottle and be done with it.
I've only once brought a bottle of scotch that was over $100 and it was for a gift. It was something similar 18 yo single malt. I'm going to have to go over and help myself to a little taste at least.

Wish these were all full again.
I bought a 24 year old bottle of single malt Glenfiddich in 1981 at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Edinburgh Scotland. It's a presentation bottle in a metal picture box. I remember it costing me about 65pound. A lot of money then. Came close to opening it once, but intend to drink it with my son on his wedding day.
