Good news Jack, it's here!!!
While you are at it I left my Nissan patrol.com stubby cooler, I'm sure there's one there somewhere 🤔
While you're looking for lost items Andy, mind keeping an eye on my Redback roof top bag if you come across it ? Can't remember where I put it that day.
Cheers mate.
I brought it home with me Hodge.

Yeah I did, but not on purpose. Everytime I take one of her tappaware bottles they not make it back home, she's down to the last one now.

Hopefully I didn't kill your trees..
Was probably pure alcohol I was feeding them...
A.B did you find a place for the sign I left or did it blow away down the
paddock
Next meetup? Should be easy done. 2 or 3 nice beams across underneath it with a bloke or 2 on each end and done.
Do I smell a working bee at AB's coming up?
Well I guess I should do a bit of a trip report. Better later than never.
So it all started thursday 26th May 2016. Worked finished at 1600. I rushed home made some quick adjustments to the patrol and headed 30 min north to put it on the dyno. Spent 2 hours on the dyno trying to get the ute to a point where we were happy enough which didnt really happen. Rushed Back home and proceeded to pack the ute for the marathon journey ahead. OldMav turned up around 2030 and I continued to finalize my packing and preparing. Finally got on the road at around 2200. We headed south-west on a route OldMav had traversed a couple of times in the past. I drove until about 0200 then swapped out for a rest. OldMav put in some solid hours until Dubbo then it was my turn again. By now the sun was well and truly up and we had made beyond the half way point. We continued our periless journey. I received a phone call from ben-e-boy about 3 hours out from AB's. He was about 2 minutes behind us with rusty_nail. We agreed to meet at the B300 turnoff and continue our journey in convoy. We Finally arrived at AB's just before 1700 friday. Andy cooked us a lovely tortilla stack, we had some beverages and then off to bed we went to get some much needed rest.
Saturday arrived. All day people continued to come and go. What a night. It was great to put some more names to faces, eat pizzas and talk with some top people. Andy and Leah deserve a medal for the time and effort put in not to mention letting all us foul mouthed patrol drivers trash their place :P. Also MB for his assistance in helping Andy set the event up and getting that awesome thunderbox sorted. Plenty of fluids were downed and even more pizzas. Then the rain came, It had absolutely no hope of dampening the spirit that is the church of patrology, so then it ran away scared. Roofy this couldnt have been for a better person. It was great to catch up again but as with last time more time is needed to just sit and chill and take in some of the stories you have to tell. Also to give me time to give you some ideas on making that little zd30 hum along a bit better. We continued to charge on and the number started to dwindle. Winnie snuck off super early again, Nisshead put in a stellar effort and made it past midnight but then also snuck off without a warning. George stuck around as well, was good to chat again mate. George and I dont always agree but we have a healthy respect for the others knowledge. I scored I nice cosy bed at Rossco place again, I think Im gonna have to start decorating that room for me lol. Then off to sleep again.
Sunday rolled around, nearly half of it by the time I woke up and wandered back over to andys place. All the campers that were still there started to also make their way back to their own homes. Some work was finalised on roofy's winch setup (thanks rossco). Now Andy was so crook sunday it wasnt funny. Even to the point Leah was so concerned she was nearly gonna take him to the hospital. As you are aware from earlier in this thread myself, ben-e and OldMav got stuck into swapping out andys pump and injectors. Again thanks to rossco (for the tools and other random shit) and MB for keeping us fed and hydrated as we worked. We fired andys old datsun up and took it for a run. 4 grown men giggling like little girls at how well his wagon went. We went back to do some finer adjustments and fix a boost leak (37+psi finds these lol). Even the excitement of this could not raise the living dead that was AB. So adjustments made and boost leak sorted another drive was on the cards. Even more giggling then followed by what we had expected to happen, the dreaded clutch slip lol. So back to andys we went. packed up what we could and sat down at the fire to have a few celebratory drinks. Another top day in Freezing victoria.
Monday was upon us and I was not looking forward to it as we were to start our journey back home. The living dead had risen from his slumber and we took him for a strap in his beast with its new found power. He loved it and then we sprung another leak (bugger lol) quick fix on the side of the road and we headed back to andys. I begun to pack the ute and check it for the trip home. Had to replace the drivers side mirror as it had fallen off on the way down (thanks again MB). So all packed up and ready to go we said our goodbyes and headed north. Now I wasnt keen on doing the trip all the way through like on the way down. Ben-e-boy had spoken to his folks and had organised us accomodation with them for the night at Jervis Bay. Bens folks are top notch, awesome people and we got spoilt. Awesome food, some nice home brew and a nice comfy bed. Thanks again Ben to you and your family mate.
And tuesday. Not much to say about this except sydney traffic sucks big time. We made it home all safe and sound around 2130. Quick shower and into bed all to start back at the daily grind on Wednesday.
So 5 days, 44hrs of driving and roughly 3600km travelled. What a weekend. I was glad I could make the trip and catch up with everyone again. Thanks Andy and NissanPatrol.com.au. Hopefully the next meet is a little closer.
Next time I will stay for 2 weeks or I will Fly.
Awsome Matty, yeah testament to working on Andy's bus into the night, it was bloody fresh that night especially after a late night with a few bevvies and with AB tucked up in bed in a coma. Was certainly worth it tho.☺

Although memory is a bit sketchy after speaches lol..
Not sure if I made midnight or not....
Of course it'll happen again..
But this time let's aim for a spring meet up yea..
... don't forget the 3 Chickens for the Oracle this time.
I got busted by the Feds 3 times on the way home via NSW and Brissy.
-Pulled over and searched at Newcastle by the NSW Cops as a suspected Drug Mule
-Searched up the North Coast (no Fisho gives away his spots) by Fisheries for poaching Pippies
-Busted by the Feds at Brissy Airport for being aTerrorist and trying to take my Moustache trimmer thingy on the plane
Think we've solved the problem of Plassy's dangerous dance moves, try and pick this little number up we're sending home ready for next Church shindig !!
