and not dramas with the dawes valve TD, ive had it set and forget mate, the mechanic had it tuned to 14PSI on a dyno so thats where it will stay =D
Hi mate, here's some interesting Info I read - worth a try (only found this after I threw out 5 litres of old ATF)
****************
Machinist's Workshop magazine tested penetrants for break out torque on rusted nuts with significant results!
They arranged a subjective test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque required to remove the nut from a "scientifically rusted" environment.
*Penetrating oil ...... Average load*
None ....................... 516 pounds
WD-40 ................... 238 pounds
PB Blaster .............. 214 pounds
Liquid Wrench ..... 127 pounds
Kano Kroil ............. 106 pounds
ATF-Acetone mix....53 pounds
The ATF-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50 - 50 automatic transmission fluid and acetone. Note the "home brew" was better than any commercial product in this one particular test. Our local machinist group mixed up a batch and we all now use it with equally good results.

I think that Irish also had a post on home brew penetrating oils in the hunters thread a while ago.
i mght have to give that acetone mix a go! thanks for the heads up mate!
Bummer about the rim Nic. Spray the hitch with what ever you have and let it do its thing, ie give it a spray each avo after work then next weekend go and find a good tree, attach a strap to it with the tongue and drive away. DO NOT USE A SNATCH STRAP, I can't stress this enough!! And don't be silly about driving off at speed. A nice straight pull should see it should just fall out.
Looks like sum pretty good tracks up there Nicko. Good to see the truck back on the road doing what it loves.
I'd put a drag chain on the hitch and around a tree and drive off - very carefully of course. . . Should do the trick. Just check'n that little bolt that stops it rattling is loose yeah??
. . . .. and the pin is out :o
