When you think about it your only really expense is fuel. Your going to eat weather on the road or at home.. I find myself eating less when on the road.

500 to 1000 on fuel pending where you are driving to/from plus setting up your rig but most people have it pretty sorted it doesn't need to be a monster stock 4wds do this route. More just a few spares remember the more you carry the more strain on the vehicle and the more fuel used. Tyre pressures and correct speed should see everyone through.

Hi all...this trip sounds pretty good....hey Darren..I am just picking up the GQ from melbourne on the 24th april and will have to completely set it up from stock ....time and funds permitting would it be a problem if I had to drop in on it at late notice or does it need to be in concrete with a lot of notice...cheers
Now to decide on which patrol to take? Gq petrol or GU diesel, the Q already has a 140 ltr tank and roof top tent but it won't take much work to swap them to the GU.
