Sweet, happy days. The dynamat I used did a good job at giving the car a solid feel and stop vibrations, but I think it was the foam that made the biggest sound deadening. Vast improvement!
That's what I was thinking to. So yea I'll be laying strips of the butyl Mat threw the car and then smothering with the foam..
Can't wait..
Fitted the new bottle and motors, took ages to clean all the crap out of the pipes........ But man am I happy, after 3 years, I sat in the car and just played with the washers, front and rear and have had to fill up the bottle twice, sad I know but I'm sure the novelty will wear off eventually
Reading all this about what you guys have to do to your GQ's makes me appreciate having a GU that does not require all that work.
My car is already quiet to drive in and the wiper washers work too.
Been a bit slow posting. Recently fitted C/O injectors, new glow plugs & adjusted tappets & timing ( Denco Wagga ) . Fitted 2" lift - Lovells coils, EFS Leaves & shocks , greaseable shackles , replaced all bushes & coil insulators ( Wodonga Spring Works ). Fitted EGR blanking plate, flushed intercooler out & removed butterfly ( Old Wal ). Took a quick test run to Innaminka via Mungo, Menindee, Tibooburra, Cameron Corner etc (3300 km in 7 days). All went well. Averaged 14.8Ltrs / 100 km with slide on camper fitted.
Fitted up an ARB compressor today , space under the bonnet getting tight but with a little messing around got it tucked in nice next to the master cylinder Attachment 37251Attachment 37252
