Also got 5 undersize pinkies and accidentally bumped my mates rod out of the holder straight in the drink but wasn't able to retrieve it ($150).

.................
Another ouch moment.
Looks like Lake Mulwala.
With an OAR-GEE lure.
One of the best Murray Cod lures on the market. I, too, have had a lot of success with these lures. My favourite has to be the purple silver back with the yellow belly and red throat. 80% of my Cod using OAR-GEE lures were on this colour lure.

Also this River2Sea minnow Perch look lure is by far my best Cod lure.
Over the last three year has caught more Murray Cod than any other lure when fishing the 2m-3.5m depth of water.
@ Mego thinking of getting some mates and going trout fishing out the back of Tallarook where the Goulbourne meets the King Parrot.

Finally took the boat out this arvo to test the new hydraulic steering. Think i saw mego on the way home :)
No feed back is the go. My last was a rack setup, started to get tight and needed more than a finger to turn the wheel though. Even though this is still wearing in one finger steering is sweet :)
Is anyone into fresh water Kayak fishing? I've recently enjoyed a couple of local trips out of Cairns with a borrowed Kayak chasing Sooties and Perch etc. and had a blast. It really is a relaxing way to fish and camp with minimal gear. Now got myself trying to save a few more bucks to buys a Kayak! Dammit! The Troll takes most of my spare cash as it is...
Yea I enjoy a paddle when my mate brings his along..
I prefer pulling on then waiders and going for a stroll out into the estuary for a spot river fishing throwing the plastics..
