Still does the job mate lol. Is it me or do you have a gazillion 2.5" drives on your desk... Sorry coldnt help but notice. (at least they look like drives to me).
IT was my original career, hence why it became a very expensive hobby (prior to 4x4s).
Haha. That's insane. SO now we know where Googles Aussie servers are........
Got any 3 or 4tb drives in that stack mate. I need four or five drives.
Oooooooh look at all the pretty lights
When's Nic coming over to setup my Yamaha Receiver to my laptop????????? Its doing my head in, my brain is not computing! :(
I'm trying to get my dash cam to work, but it won't.
I bought a 64gb SD card, and for whatever reason, it won't work in my dash cam.
It says 64gb on the box but when I checked it out, the memory is only 59.7gb. Could this be the cause of it not working?
At the sake of sounding like an Uber Geek, there are 1073741824 bytes one Gigabyte but with formatting, you loose some data which is why drives and cards etc don't ever format to the size on the box.
A couple of things to consider with your card - is it formatted to the device? If not not sure how you would do that (think camera formatting there's likely to be a menu option) and / or do you have a known working SD card? Is it for SD or HD cards (yes, there's a difference) also check the data speed, a slow card might not work (HD cards tend to be faster).
Have a read of the destructions that came with the cam - it should have an indication of what to buy.
hi mate, do you mean HC? not HD? ive never heard of SDHD? Also, the Class is actually what is representative of the write speed, so Class (10) which will write at a sufficient speed for 1080 recording, will be much faster than a Class (2) which will not have a write speed sufficient to write 1080 or even 720. Class (2) is pretty much only good for basic compact cameras.
You are absolutely right RN, I hate typing with my iPad. Good point too on the class mate.

Ok IT tech peoples,
I only have ADSL 1 and when I turn the wi-fi for the phone on and it starts doing any downloads the pc's browser will 99% of the time give me a time out or server not found message.
Anyway 2 overcome this besides the obvious 2 not download on the phone and use the pc at the same time?
How is the PC hooked up to the modem ? WiFi or LAN ,?
todd, it sounds like your phone is hogging all the bandwidth. what is your max download speed? goto speedtest.netand let me know. if your cool with it ill come up saturday and have a look at it for you and grab those springs off you? sound good?
G'day blokes. My wifi
modem is displaying
the word 'Connecting'
instead of 'Telstra'.
We seem to be
chewing through data
like crazy. Is the
modem using our data
to connect all the time?
shouldnt be using more data, there is a simple way to work that all out.
what operation system are you using?
where is it saying "connecting" a screen shot would help with this, print screen and paste into paint will sort that out.
how many devices are connected to you home network?
what is your data cap and how much are using?
have you changed the password to see if there are unwanted guests using your wifi?
throw up abit more into and ill try sort you out.
You can see the word
"connecting" in the top
left. It should display
Telstra.
We are capped at 8G.
Even when there was only
me at home, for a few
days it still used data
significantly.
try uninstalling the utility and reinstalling it. might be some corruption there? or even better goto the telstra website and see if there is a new utility for your dongle. if you cant work it out ill PM you my number and we can try work it out.
Thanks, bloke.
They updated
the tower a
few weeks ago
and that seems to be
the start of it.
Phone uses bandwith????

Yeh you can stop laughing now!
Not sure if we will around on the weekend..... Remember Hill End??? I can leave them out for you if want 2 pick them up still, will give u a ring on Friday....... if I remember
hahaha, I was thinking house phone and going WTF??? and I've only had 2 bourbons!
Yeh seems like the phone is hogging it all but don't know a way off stopping it, and yes very shit speeds, was thinking of going up to ADSL2 but we have really sh!t phones lines and worried I will pay more for no reason.
That we do, and that's cool, if the weather looks like its not going 2 clear we will probable give it a miss again for another weekend and if that happens I'll give u a call and see what ur plans are :)
Have you got a lot of other devices connected to your network?
Nicco would know more than me about this but I had similar issues and we had 3 mobiles, 2 x iPads, 3 x computers and a lappy all connected and it caused issues until I removed some that we never use and the issue was resolved.
Not really, have a tablet and another pc, but nothing else was connected at the time but now that I think of it when Erin is on the tablet and on the net, I get the same problem so must be the wi-fi getting allocated the bandwidth when they are connected.
Anyway of changing who gets what bandwidth???
oh also yeah thats what your router is doing, its prioritising bandwidth to the wifi connection...
