@growler2058 looks like someone has touched to blade on the bayonet,
some wet/dry and WD40 will clean it up . avoid touching it as oil on hands
will leave marks
It has g96 gun oil on it. There won’t be any wet n dry getting within coo-ee of it. Best way to devalue any milsurp
These arrived today the AK47 is actually a flick knife with a small led light
The Buck 110 I brought for a third of the price of a new one, this is a 2002 model and unmarked.
I want to swap for Daniels [my son] Buck 110 that has nickle bolsters instead of brass.
the novelty knife might seal the deal
Been concentrating on folders lately here are a couple.
Limited edition Buck 110 and Schrade Bear Paw
I've been meaning to report here for a while, but keep forgetting...
I bought this knife after seeing a post by @oncedisturbed many years ago somewhere in this thread. I bought it, because it looked good and coming from a knife nuffy, I had no clue whether it was any good...
This thing was cheap! From memory it was under $40... But it's been more than 5 years and this thing goes everywhere with me. I got it sharpened by a mate who has his ways with various leather sharpening methods and it is super super sharp and has stayed that way. I cut various things with it, including chopping minor wood kindling etc, slicing branches, meat, fish, etc... And I found it to be great!
I know not much about knives, as mentioned above and in the world of fair dinkum knives, going by quality and price, this knife doesn't even , but for me it's been amazing and I can only imagine how the real knives perform!
Thanks @oncedisturbed . Hope you're well mate !

Been a while in this thread. Thought I'd share my accumulated camp/cooking "collection". Some of these are cheapo, internet knives, 4wd show knives, etc... Even Aldi (Tomahawk on the right, because it looks cool!! ). 2 on the left are chefs/cleaver knives from Ozbrai. (Harry from Fire to Fork flogs these). But I don't rate them much.
3rd from the left is my custom made Serbian cleaver. This thing is in a entirely different league compared to the Ozbrai cleaver next to it. Scares the shit out of me, how sharp it comes up and how sharp it remains. I use it for veggies, fruit, meat, steaks...But this thing gives your fingers/limbs one chance, otherwise it's gone... Hassan Chop!!!
Also the bowie (second from the right), my old neighbour gifted to me a few years back. Don't know its history. It has Jap writing on it. Again, this thing is formidably sharp.
Like the cleaver mentioned above, I'm not an expert in metallurgy, or knife crafting for that matter. But there is knives and then there is "knives".
