The Trol had only 1-2 degrees timing, and I needed to get more as it was a bit lacking in power. Tony and Patch advised me and I tried everything, but in the end there was no more adjustment, so the consensus was that the dizzy must be out by a tooth. I moved it one tooth and then the mongrel wouldnt start. So I put it back and it still won't start. I sent it by tilt tray to a mechanic today. I think there has been some sort of electronic failure or something as it shows no sign of starting, not even a pop or splutter. Anyway, that'll teach me to mess with it while its running. I'm back now Patch and the rest. I didn't want to bother you and Tony and in any case, I am not sure yet that it's the dizzy that is the problem. I flattened the battery twice turning it over and I think that there is something else not right electronically. The ECUTalk unit still says its 21 degrees BTDC no matter where the dizzy was, so I'll let the professionals play with it. It needs a trans service in any case and he has a power flush unit to change the oil in the converter anyway. But thank you and Tony so much for all your support the other night.Quote:
