Doing some searching for a Buck 110 50th, and have come up with 3 different versions.
One is general sale 50th with plaque in the scales, then there is a Federal one ,which is a limited run of the original 110 with 3 pins
and then there is a limited addition one 0-2000 with etched blade and scales, Go figure
Further searching has found a 4th being a finger groove 110 50th

Thise emergency sleeping bags are good but you can pick up like 10 of the blanket versions for the same price and stick them everywhere.

that was the only colour available, my pouches are tan
but not fussed one bit about colour as long as it works
Also picked up these for $16 plus post very happy. 10" and 4" blades.
Over the break going to try and hone my fire lighting skills
especially those flints,,,,,,, we'll see LOL

@ GKO have you had a chance to play with your "Old West Bowie"
fancy carrying that around all day in the mid 1800s. ?

Good score on the bowie set.
With the flint sticks, you can use crushed firelighters or cotton wool soaked in petroleum jelly as tinder, can also use wood shavings as well.

Was going to try and replicate being lost and shaving some slithers off some wood and going from there.
but as you said wouldn't hurt having some fire lighters in an air tight tin, in a pouch

I have set up a small tin with a clip seal bag in it holding cotton wool soaked in petroleum jelly, they can be lit in the wet and will burn up to 10 minutes.

I also have a packet of waterproof matches and a small bic lighter in my kit.

Little lucifer have bought out a new set of firelighters that are individually wrapped in a fire safe type of plastic and work really well, have some if those to go in my kit as well.

Can do the same with wood shavings, not wood dust though. You can also put a small plastic bottle filled with kero or metho as well.

so You'll be stamping bigger items ?

Yup, i have 2 more stamps coming so I can choose a stamp depending on the size/style of the item i am making.

Just had a 5-6 sq ft of soft leather delivered to make things like draw string pouches etc.

Have about 2-300 screw type rivets now in a bronzed black style for sheaths and fittings.

Just need time to make some more gear up to start selling

molle vest and more pouches arrived, now to sort out what goes in where.
Oh and a thermal cover for my Dream Pot

Tried the new knife out over the weekend trimming 2-3" hardwood branches down for munchkin to whittle away on, kept its edge nicely and cut through the wood easily.

Will try using it in a chopping action later on to see how it goes

My infra red Thermometer also arrived , works a treat.
Great for cooking oil temp.
as well as tyre temps etc for a play.Engine bay temps,
molle vest is ACU , I call it digi grey camo
as long as it does its job I'll be happy.

my kettle and timber rattler bone handled bowie arrived.11.5" blade
Best part is those three big bowie cost me less that $100, well less around $90 I think.
I'll give the kettle a work out today some time, I'll get my mate to make a wooden box for it to travel in

it doesn't afford much grip as it is, 45 one way and 45 the other way should do it

I have a few sets of needle files that will be perfect for this all different shapes.
My Op cant be that far away so want all my gear ready to go, taking far too long its BS.
Need to go up the Murray and try some gear I've made and some stuff I've brought as well.
Haven't tried to start a fire yet, but will soon

The eclipse mint tins are perfect for holding the cotton wool soaked in petroleum jelly or tinder / water proof matches etc and small enough to fit anywhere and everywhere. You can use them for almost anything and label maker like a dymo and tag each 1 so you know what's in it without having to open each 1 to get what you need.

Also get a small magnifying glass and a few small bic lighters as a back up, bugger rubbing sticks together or making a fire bow.

Still waiting on my new flint sticks to be delivered so I can change the 1 over in my GP knife, also need to change the diamond stone as well as it is crap due to the plastic molding being higher than the grit so I can't sharpen anything.

I have those Eclipse tins full of fuses etc, as for a magnifying glass , my neighbour
broke a large set of binoculars I had so I pulled them apart and kept the lens's for just this purpose
starting fires.
Fire bow etc, saw that on some out back trips to me its whirling the billy around only good for the tourist.
Would like to master the flint approach though. Usually start a fire using a Bic but don't smoke now, don't want to either
not bad for someone chewing 50 plus a day. That's another topic.
Going to use my flint to start a fire to boil some water in my Ghillie stove, well that's the goal he he he

There are many different ways to use the flint, 3 of the easiest is the cotton wool or crushed firelighters or a dash or metho / kero if you take it with you.

Takes a smidge longer using really dry tinder.

Google survival resources and check out their store, heaps of good gear and they also have heaps of tips etc as well.

Have bought a heap of gear from them in the past with no dramas at all and it is good gear as well.

Detracts from the knife so not that happy.

Heres my latest walking stick its the root ball from a wattle sapling
I found out bush last month.
Plus this is how QANTAS store their emergency first aid items.
water tablets ,iodine and smelling salts capsules and burns cream sachets.
Also included was a small led torch and spare batteries.

Next time out bush I'll cut a staff about 7ft and splice/weave/braid some Para cord onto it as I have 100ft coming

Found this searching the voids, surely must be handy for spare tools, or camp knives.
This is why I want an indust, plain sewer, so I can knock up like OD has pouches for different gear.

Knife looks good, def needs something on the scales to break up the yellow.

Do you still have a link to that knife at all? Might look at getting a black 1 myself.

Still have to get wifey's sewing machine serviced so I can start on some knife / tool rolls.

I have some really nice, soft deer skin here I will be using for drawstring pouches etc, just need to work out what would be best as an insert for the tool rolls so they don't cut through the leather.
Was thinking of using kydex but it would make them pricey and stiff to roll. Will look for thicker, soft leather to use instead.

TD, I have some 25mm letter stamps coming so I can start in the cross draw sheaths for you, forgot how many you were chasing?

Working on 3 crossdraw sheaths at the moment that will take up to a 3-3.5" knife.
