Well known as a tourist destination.
Is that mundairing weir?
No rotto,
Not in WA.
Is it Barossa Reservoir "whispering wall" or something??
Ill answer for you Kris, you got it mate. But not my pic I could be wrong. So we will just wait for Gav
TAPPN OUT
You got it Kris,
It sure is amazing how the sound travels from one side to the other, softly spoken and clear as a bell 100+metres
away.
Worth reading how it happens.
Thought the SA boys would be on to this one pretty quickly!!
Righto, where is this plane wreck
Its a old ww2 one up cape York but I don't know what one, but I've seen pics in a blog before
Its the Commercial Douglas DC 9 or a DC 9 thats been converted for the war effort
So I was right ?
My Bad got my DC's mixed up, Its the same one as the joy flight job that leaves Essendon Airport, DC3
Most mates in aviation industry, when we saw that plane in '83 up Cape york
there was a long discussion over it. the conclusion being a commercial plane was gutted
and turned into a cargo aircraft for the war effort, thats how we saw it.
I'm at work atm so open pic to keep the ball rolling
Cheers,
Troy
Ok here's one to keep us going. It will likely be a bit more difficult unless you've been there........ gotta have something to do whilst the forum is offline tonight so get googling.
The 4 pics are taken from the same walk/trail in a well known National Park. I want the name of the park AND the name of the 'walk'. I will confirm the name of the Park first when someone gets it.

Lost city over In the Bungle Bungles Dont think they are Bradshaw pics though.
Boat/ship would suggest early Dutch explorers
Edit I dont do walk
Nope, they are not Bradshaw paintings as far as I know (although do look a bit like them).
Does look 'lost city'ish', but it isn't.
Not in the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu National Park).
Not sure about early Dutch explorers you may possibly be right on that.

Manngarre Walk, Kakadu?
Very warm TPC, it is in Kakadu, but not Mangarre. Is that the one along the river close to the Border Store ? If so you are VERY warm.
Cuppa
What about Ubirr walk?
I have not been to Kakadu, have just done the Google cheat on this one.
Hi TPC, i done the same as you and I think you are right, let's see what Cuppa will tell us about it.
regards
Petit caillou.
Ooh you are both so close, not much more than a stone's throw away, but the wrong side of the Border Store.
Cuppa
:bananadancing:East Alligator River close to Bardedjilidji Sandstones ? :bananadancing:
I gotta give you that Little Stone. :)
The Bardejilidji Walk was one of those great unexpected surprises, something that most of the 3 day tour folk never get to see.
Votre tour mon ami
Here is a fabulous place somewhere you have to find :

Too easy.
The Great Hall of the Bulls, Lascaux caves, near Montignac, Dordogne, France.
Have another go.

Hmmm, is it also in France?
Does it have any connection to hang gliding?
yes and you can do hang gliding from that place
Hmmm, I thought that might lead me somewhere, but I'm coming up with nothing at the moment.
Is it a hill that the Tour de France cyclists ride up?
If not how about a clue?
Cuppa
yes, the Tour de France passed through here
Regards
Petit caillou.
Col de la Croix de Fer ?
Not that place, same player shoot again.
Well I'm googled out, & not coming up with anything which looks remotely the same. :(
