Second thoughts, if that is your kitchen window remembered from a kind shindig youz once had?
Happy to rough slab you two Winnie’s up some ironbark for a servery connection between his & hers worlds possibly?
The eatery full open louvrey window might blow your budget but worth seeing what ‘Stegbar’ could quote up for the builders plug and play install whilst there working [emoji120][emoji1696][emoji736]

Mate that is exactly our plan, a little later down the track though. Big bifold window between the kitchen and deck with a milled wood bench underneath.

Well done mate, that looks bloody brilliant. Good to see you getting into it!!

FWIW: Finally swapped the GU’s 35’s across to the little GQ now with 40mm reduced rear guard butchering I had done earlier:

Externally it still looks tight highway old height and pre 2” mild lift work but trying my best to keep it looking OEM tame as best as possible [emoji23]

Radius arms forward shifting castor correction work thankfully starts next week with extended bump stops holding up 3” down travel shocks so fingers crossed I won’t hear that dreaded full lock downhill ‘dickada dickada dickada’ crap [emoji90][emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

maybe drop ya tyre pressures winnie???
Took a bit of a gamble yesterday purchasing a D31A for the GQ’s main battery as I’ve only ever been able to fit slightly smaller D27’s in GU’s main trays length/width wise previously believed.
Thankfully it did fit last night tested with only a slight position twist required which was made possible by the offset spiral core design:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/108.jpg
Next overlooked problems found were the D31A terminal posts are all mounted central unlike the D27 variants with standard off-sets & the taller battery height brought the terminals too close for comfort to the closed steel bonnet heat lining.
Problem easily solved thanks to ‘Baxters’ passing through there today:

‘Unilug’ is a brilliant Aussie design just found and are so happy I don’t have to modify the OEM engine wires longer to reach too [emoji120][emoji106][emoji736]

Wow! I like those Unilugs.
yep. pretty bloody neat. also would solve the problem of you had a battery with the wrong polarity! nice stuff @MB
Honestly Legends, I can’t rate Baxters highly enough. Best helpful old school counter service and solution providers [emoji106][emoji106]
Another close rubber bonnet safe contraption purchased was this:

Only a mock up installation pictured below with 500amp fuses instead of @matfew winch front/rear copper bussbars kindly on order [emoji23] [emoji120][emoji120]

Brilliant things Mark Mate, advertised as forged not cast too which sounds uncrackable to nuffy me [emoji23]
Only one suggestion I could possibly make to the Legend developers, the plastic protection cover utilises a metal screw that connects direct to the terminal below......I’ll be further developing with a blob of removal Aussie Bluetack invention too or similar [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

I love those Unilugs. Not the cheapest but money you'll never regret spending.
I like the bus bar/distribution block too. Is that made by the same company?
Different company TJ Mate, searching for the Baxters link now, isn’t in their online catalogue....5 minutes [emoji120][emoji106]

Found it again Mate [emoji29]

Runs ‘Mega’ length fuses not ‘ANL’ hooky jobbies although I’m happy to convert as I’m great at accidentally breaking ANL placcy single fuse covers [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

I just bought a couple of these kind a few weeks ago with the hope of cleaning up my wiring a bit.
Projecta BT950-P1http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/117.jpg
They come with 30A and CAL2 fuses.
Mate good job. This thread has got some reading in it!
:gossip:
Boring maint work today, Under body corrosion prevention maintenance(no bloody oil leaks to do that automatically:wink:), and sanding and polishing rust off bar scars and rockslider slashes, before giving recoats of Pot Belly HT black jack to keep rust out. Great stuff that..self priming.

Not me but someone putting their GQ under serious punishment!!!

Holy Moley is that 8T without the trailer WTF are they thinking. . [emoji848]
Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Edit six can't count [emoji1787] . . Still a lot lol . .
I reckon it might be 12T plus trailer, aren't they 2000 litres per?????
1000L bulkies, so 6T plus trailer
Guesstimating by the colour spectrum I’d assume the rear 2 x 1,000L IBC’s are empty.
Pissweak I says, fill em both up to properly banana bend that shitbox trailer and hopefully take some weight off the poor old GQ beauty [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

Finally managed to get my spare tyre out, 1psi and all [emoji29][emoji23]

Another bloody glad I checked before swamping departure scenario folks.
The old highway GQ’s hard breather OEM gearbox’s to front diff line was folded and dangling [emoji51]

Picked up a fancy bit of plastic/alloy before lockdown:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/126.jpg
Decided to modify it a wee bit for a worse case scenario too by adding a slight water lock u-turn theory:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/127.jpg
I’m sure it could get mounted higher like up top of the snorkel or indoors but this should hopefully do for now [emoji1696]

Put half a shed junk checker plate box to use as a heat shield from the pissy little Safari turbo:

Baby compressor and new catch can fitted up pretty well:
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/130.jpg
Will have to play around a bit more with hosing for both contraptions during the week before taking the plunge into drilling holes through the new airbox [emoji51]
http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/131.jpg
Pretty happy with the catch can drain, should be able to rest a little empty Berocca bottle on the coil tower whilst waiting:

Look'n good Markie, looks like she's blow'n a bit of black smoke in this pic tho. [emoji848]
Not wanting to give you another task but might be worth checking the rubber boot ontop of gearbox around lever, I know mine needs replacing already isn't that old. . .

Will do, thanks Legend [emoji120][emoji106][emoji106]

Truth be known Cremulator Mate!
Was watching Youtubey on their 230Lm rating and apparently suitable for V8 Landcrabs of 120Lm and then instantly your awesome post kindly popped up on another thread suggesting of their shorter/compact size which I felt needed for this build too.
Youtubey research does appear the Provent 200 is the Bee’s Knees for big HP/Kw donks but I’m only currently running 70rwkw [emoji23]

FWIW too Cremulator Mate!
The big industrial Pro-200’s have 25mm inlet/outlets that need to reduce down to our TD42 little 12mm OEM rocker cover venty thingies. The Flashlube being a 19mm down to 12mm upon reading fittings required nuffy seemed a lot more suitable donk sized to me too [emoji1696][emoji106][emoji106]

Nah I deflated it to 1psi then foolishly pushed it in with the Kanga loader from work [emoji23]

hahahahaha, ^^^ you're a mad bastard :tease:
It’s been stuck in there since early 2020 from working out the back of Bourke, heaps of trees to tie to out there and gun it [emoji23]
