TD gets it I reckon. The Lost City. There are at least two 'Lost Cities', this one in Litchfield NP, south of Darwin. (I think there's another up in the Gulf somewhere, but haven't been to that one).

There's so many small opal mining places from Winton to Quilpie.
I actually did opal mining at Quilpie, way back when I worked on a property
that the owner of was a mad keen opaller.
He did alright out of it too.
Haha nothing wrong with a bit of google, my wife's uncle lives just outside of opalton and is a miner also but hasn't caught on that you have to dig to win it big lol
