Yep I did that, skulled two cans of JD haha, it didn't even help
Yep I remember that I was very impressed!
Started packing the van today, swag and all. Any issues of I bring the 9yr old shelty, he's looking a little neglected of late?
Admittedly I'm not looking forward to sharing the swag with him, but he's a good dog and would love the trip.
Crap missed the message about who's bringing what... What can I contribute?
Trucks ready, packed and changed to muddies. Vans packed, just need to add clothes and food and ready to hit the road.
Now just need to survive the next few days at work and then hit the road.
Bring it on...........
One more sleep for me
Weather is looking good... low to mid 20's during the day.....low teens overnight. And some rain.
So guys and Gals, looks like i may be making the drive. Been working on the GUIV all day and did a fair bit more than i thought i needed to but all good and the Camper is half packed. I have not really committed to this trip until this week as i needed to get Christmas and Beachport over and done and see where im at. i have been back a week!
I will read this thread over the next week and catch up on the goss.
I gather there is a Cookup on one of the nights? everyone is bringing something i think i read the other day? Are we adding our own meat to that or putting in for a big roast or something? didnt read back far enough.
Is there going to be a drive on one of the days and which day? i assume there will be a day to sit and enjoy the magnificent property Kris has made available to us.
At this stage i have a very heavy week but want to roll in the early hours of Friday and head home Monday. Its about 800kms from my place and Google is telling me its 9 hours of driving time. The guys from Gippsland are you heading around the coast road or back through Melbourne?
Google is telling me to go via Yass and then head South East. from memory that is the best way by far, a long way round but no Mountains so much quicker, is that the general consensus?
Many will be happy if you make it, MR. So, you dont have to read 90 (jesus) pages of dribble, this is my understanding
There will be an all in cook up on the saturday night(24th) with Kris suppling all the meat and the rest of us supplying a selection of salads and deserts. I think some one has the bread organised as well.
I believe this may be the latest update on who is bringing what.

Not sure on the driving side of things. I think Kris and a few others have ideas but nothing concrete. We are leaving Tues, the others will let u know when and how they are getting there.
The coast is quicker for those of us down this way ( thru Cooma ) but still 8 hours to Captains flat.
Thats all I know.................................
Oh, and Growlers is supplying the silly chilli
Hi MR from Melb the quickest way is via Yass as you mentioned. Get to Captains Flat and follow the directions on Page 1.
See you on the weekend.
Make it happen Dazz
Also new and old members alike are prone to a bit of heat. Don't be shy
Winnie's missus I don't recall you even getting close to tasting chilli so you will be up again!
Adrian (squid) if what AB says is true you are going to be a very sad man ;)
Winnie Poo you talked yourself up for soooo long until it came to the crunch. Very disappointing mate. I think you shall be seeking redemption this trip weather you want/know it or not hehehehehe
It sounds like we'll be camping upwind ....
Hey do we need those sticky name tags ?? lol
If I can get the cheese put me down for Caprese salad (tomato and cheese salad) and nibblies.
J.
Well hopefully the drive day is Sunday as I can only make it there Saturday morning (early as possible), but I'm just happy to be out.
For the cook up I will try to bring something that has not already been listed :)
I'll be there in the early hours on Saturday - I'm guessing a 3 hour drive from Sydney. Its my youngest's birthday on Friday so can't get away any earlier (and no, I'm not bringing the kids, I need a break from the almost constant whining).
be great if ya do daz.
i am getting closer. camper is half packed. car got some line over the weekend. air con is half sorted and water pump week be fixed tonight.
what should i bring to the meet. Sarah was thinking maybe cook up some slices or something to be added for snacks after desert hehe.
i have plenty of eggs atm to i might chuck in. we don't eat many at home so they will most likely go to the dogs if i dint bring em.
Keiss let me know what else is needed.
cheers
Maybe I should make some lassi for anybody trying growlers treats...
Nisshead, put me down for a tomato and cheese salad, and if I can pull the drink container out of the brew shed I'll make up a batch of mango lassi to attempt to counter growlers treats.
We will be there Saturday morning. Looks like a 4 hour drive from Sydney though.
Yes Nic, the wife has decided to come along after all.
She said that she would only go if there was a toilet and a shower... so I went and bought a portable Thunder Box and a 12v shower!
See you guys Saturday.
Cheers,
Rob
were bringing a shower tent and shower too lol. nothing better than getting up and having a hot shower when your camping and feeling hungover and seedy lol
i must say dazz, i didnt realise you werent actually coming till today. i am excited to lift a beer with you mate, its been a while!
We are only there for 3 nights, I am going without showering and I don't care!
