On my way to a fresh water lake, for some Redfin ( hopefully).

love redfin, got to be happy with a feed already, how's the bourbon going has it survived?never caught a yellow belly as we don't have them here
Ended up with 6 reddies and one yellow belly.
Just finished eating the reddies, well 3 fillets. Absolutely beautiful.
And some snapper from yesterday.
Still don't like snapper.
I'm going to Lakes Entrance this weekend to go on a Far Out fishing charter... compliments of Clipsal. Keen as!
Another decent haul Mego!
Things are still a bit patchy up here in the river. The flatties have been out in the bay spawning so they've been a bit hard to find, they should be moving back in following the full moon this week so hopefully things will pick up soon.
The summer pelagics are starting to make an appearance outside, looking forward to my first Mackerel season!
I got in trouble over the weekend for fishing too much and not spending time with the Missus and doing my man home chores. Lol
Not sure how to tell her I'm hoping to go fishing again this weekend.
Try and earn some wifey points during the week mate :)
Popped out yesterday 6 flatties, 10 salmon, 1 gummy (lost 2 big buggers), kept a big banjo for a friend and a gazillion smaller banjos :(
Was a lot of fun, wasn't setup for gummy but I gotta say I'm a little hooked on them now :)
Went on that charter this morning. Not much action, one 1.4m gummy and a 6kg Snapper bit everything else was small.
Sounds like a typical charter boat mate
Poked our noses outside Noosa this morning for a bit of a bottom bash at Sunshine reef. The sounder showed promising signs but we were flat out getting a bait down due to the absolute carpet of mutton birds out there!!
We gave up and trolled around a bit and ended up with 5 Spanish Mackerel in the boat for the morning. It was my first ever spaniard so I was pretty pleased with the way things turned out :)
Sort of fishing related. I was at Darling Harbour on the weekend and noticed a sea gull with a dead leg hoping around. It still had about a metre of fishing line tied around him, no chance of catching it and fixing as the damage has been done. Some people are so bloody lazy with their rubbish... :(
Releasing 1.19m of silver beauty...
Beautiful fish mate, great catch!!
It topped a fantastic trip.
Just decided to get the boat wet and have a fish off Werribee. Not expecting much, but at least I have some JD's. Still deciding whether to drift or anchor up in close.
Well did I have fun today.
I reckon I caught well over 60 flatheads (most of which were undersized) still bagged out.
Also small salmon were around and caught about 30 of them.
I literally had all four rods bouncing with fish on the whole time I was out there.
Fishing is supposed to be relaxing but not today, just none stop action.

First cod entered into the cod classic measuring 65cmAttachment 37718
Caught by my brother.
2 more undersized cod have also been boated and released.
Not good enough, but good to see the lake is producing. lol
Weather wise all sunny and hot.
Looking good then fingers crossed .
are they on the bite or do you have to work for them
Now three undersized cod 55cm 58cm and 57cm. And nod one 65cm
