FWIW: (safety wise) It’s always worth carrying a full set of 13A belts & top/bottom radiator hoses & ………..heater hoses IMHO!
Them sneaky rubbery lines over your rocker cover can shut an entire Adventure down [emoji120][emoji120][emoji3590][emoji3590]

Cooling and brakes were tested prior to departure...in a cane paddock...
I had replaced all cooling rubber bits and belts 6 years or so ago... She'll be fine lol he says 1800 km in . 4 year old diesel is not the best. Lacked some power. Now it doesn't run on when you turn it off.
Well 3300km done.. she is starting to sweat horsepower .. and a few other niggles. Like my factory clock. Some rattles to sort but nothing too major
Glad You’re Safe & Sound Garret Mate [emoji120][emoji106]
Faithful old dinosaurs our TD42’s, keep on trucking with some clean air/filter inspections for added power, no need to always replace, circumstantially can get away with a removable tapout roadside just for good measure [emoji123][emoji123]

I do need to make a shield for the clutch slave ... its gone walkabout, the pedal gets worse as the day went on then get better the next morning...
since removing all the weight I doubled the gap between the tyre and the wheel arch ...
ended up doing a fuel filter beside the road, but surprisingly the tyres held up..
I do think the old girl could benefit from some new shocks I've put over 100k km on these Monroes
It was this caused our need to be put on a tow truck half way up the Kuranda Road from Cairns. Clutch jammed, slave cylinder wouldn't release. Car was not driveable. Dropped at the mechanic's after hours. Next morning clutch worked & we drove it into the premises. Mechanic's first & only question was "Do you have a 3" exhaust"? Symptoms & answer of "Yes" had him say "It'll be the clutch slave cylinder. ........ & it was.
grr see a trail of fluid running down the front left .... gotta investigate but I think I've blown a calliper .... :(
top tip don't let your old car sit for a long time ...
