Interesting read about sharpening and tempering of the balde
I dont want to put any heat into the blade if I can help it.
I have two linishers one faster than the other so Ill use one and see how I go
something to do tomorrow lol Im thinking this will hold an edge very well.
They usually hold an edge pretty well, like most blades, it will depend on how it's used and cared for.
Gecko will be able to answer that question better than me as I have rarely used 1.
I beasted my Kukhri as I got it while I was still in the army. It keeps an edge like you wouldn't believe! Back then, the only way I could sharpen it was a small hand file... no chance of overheating it that way! I also found those little blades that come with the Kukhri are hones and really good for the task too. It is still one of the most versatile knives I have ever seen. I skinned out a sheep with it one day, was a bit awkward to maneuver but was so sharp, it just peeled the fleece off.
OK thanks I'll hang off till he gets back, one of the smaller knives [Karda]
is for skinning the other small knife is blunt [chakmak] as is supposed to sharpen it out in the field
I like the idea of the notch on the blade ,it stops blood from running onto the handle after dressing a beast
Mine has a single fuller, as far as I know it is a car spring one, cant wait to test it lol

Cool thanks I might linish a rough edge to it then file it,, then use some wet N dry to finish it off
to remove any file marks, I can truely understand how these knives can be so awesome.
Funny what the notch represents[cow teat] to remind the owner not to kill a cow which is taboo in Buddist beliefs.
Still dying to left fly with this baby
