Hopefully they crimp better than these;
Attachment 82921
They're built well, I just don't find the crimp is as nice and tight as what my cheap pair do. I've had a few terminals pull off the wire after using them. I think perhaps wire and terminal size is much more critical as they have a set crimp depth.
My cheap pair crimp like below and are always solid as.
Attachment 82922
I had two sets of the first type and two of the second, both in the recycle bin. Sick of crimp connections failing. Combination of cheap/poor quality connectors and crappy crimpers.
Yeah i have a reasonable set of thr first ones but have always crimped a size down ans double crimp. So yellow in Blue jaws and Blue in Red. Then double length the crimp then heatshrink.
Keen to get these and hope they are a big step UP
That second set have jaws like the ones 8 have for Anderson plugs. I always double crimp those too. Even flip ans try and crimp from both sides
A football.......

So i have posted a kit like this before but this one popped up in my ebay the other day and it looked like a really good collection 9f clips I did not have actually. Also to include 5he Plastic Trim removal tools was a winner, I have all of the tools but lost a couple so ordered it.
It specifically has the trim clips that hold the GQ door cards on for the win!!

Love the look of them Bonuses Daz [emoji106][emoji106]
Perfect for cleaning up wires on the firewall or inner chassis wire runs to the back mate!

Gave the new crimper a test run today. Its an absolute winner for crimp strength, however its on the semi difficult side getting the terminal into the jaws. There is a compound slicer plate that forms part of another function and its a bit tight when working in tight locations to get it all together. I was on my back crimping wires above the rear diiff, so its probably an extreme orientation. Anyway, I learnt to compensate one way and then the other. The outcome is the best I have had so far. The jaws will clamp down to a very firm finish, and the actual crimp height is regulated by the release lever to some degree. Happy with the purchase, @MudRunnerTD you should be happy i am guessing also.
My 5t 2 poster is in the planning stages, just need to settle on the land, then the first thing that goes up is the shed and hoist - NO MORE GARGAE FLOOR for me
So out in the shed ans pulled out the trim clip.kit I had and the one I bought the other day and am pleased there is quite a big difference between them juailtifying the purchase for sure.

Nice mate. That will get it done for sure.
First impressions are mixed. I'm a bit apprehensive that the body is plastic, although I guess it would have been ridiculously heavy if it was metal. I make a cut and FK me, effortless and very accurate. On that regard I am thrilled with this tool. Needed to hook up the dust extraction though.
It's actually not as loud as I thought it would be and even has a brake on the motor when it is powered off. Comes with a crosscut guide and even a push stick too which is a bonus.
One more thing, it's bloody massive!
On the whole I'm happy with my purchase.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/201.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/202.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/203.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/204.jpg

Looks a Beast Nico Mate [emoji106][emoji106]
Certainly fits the tool trolley top very well too!
Dust extraction wise, consider this 1hp 10ampy convenient Carbatec bargain Mate:

Those Carbatec units are great, but they have a 100mm hose. Perfect if your machine has the same size attachment.
I tried adding a reducer to a 50mm hose to connect it to my drop saw and the Carbatec didn't inflate the bag and create the proper vortex for normal operation. Suction was almost nonexistent.
I ended up getting a Ryobi 30L wet dry vac to use on the drop saw.
You'd definitely need something bigger for use with a thicknesser.
Well I'm very very happy now with both the saw and the thicknesser. Yes, for the perfectionist out there, it isn't buzzed and therefore not perfectly straight but I can only make do with the tools I have. This is naturally seasoned messmate from the bush across from mine, intended to become a coat hook with old railway pins mounted when it's finished. Stoked with how easy it was to get the timber to this stage and how quickly too.

Just waiting for the glue to go off now. Sorry I've kinda digressed from the main topic but couldn't have done this without those toolshttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...021/02/211.jpg

Well was in Repco today as they had 30% off so why wouldn't you hey!!
Spent a little bit shhhhh. But grabbed this little kit for $19 and can't complain, very limited use and have basically everything else covered but these will fit a gap nicely.

You must have bought the same one we just did Cremulator Mate?
https://www.carbatec.com.au/dust-ext...ld-code-fm-300
It’s a 2hp also with twin port 100mm suction pipes we’ll be connecting to two 100mm machines within 3m distance of the unit via this kit which includes blast gates:
https://www.carbatec.com.au/dust-col...-85-5-39-22-cm
In theory I can’t see why the smaller 1hp model couldn’t work for two 50mm machines or at least having a second blast gate half open or full?
Until now we’ve just been using our Hilti concrete drilling shop vacuum with success but does fill too quickly now with bigger machines coming into play.

It’s only downfall sound wise is that every 15 seconds it does a needed auto filter clean (thump/thump/thump) that echoes through the valley [emoji23]

Yeh that's the same unit with dual ducts.
My dad bought it over 10 years ago to use with a Carbatec CTJ-350.
I used this setup to make a work bench a few months ago [emoji106]
What that machine does to timber put me on edge every time I switched it on [emoji51]http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum.../2021/03/2.jpg
Anyone who buys a Bunnings rain poncho is probably a bit of a tool.......... at least if they expect it to keep them dry! Haha.

FWIW: Truth be known.....as to a simple query of GQ rear chassis bolt size/pitches I politely asked of our seniour members (moderators/administrators) some weeks ago never received a response 🥲[emoji23]
FWIW: The two rear side chassis OEM bolt holes on a 1995 GQ are larger and maybe a different pitch too versus a 1999 GU ute/ute same/same coily’s [emoji23][emoji106][emoji106]

Was killing time on Facebook this morning waiting for a shop to open ans this popped up. I need to make a stand for my Speedwerx bender. This will work a treat. The extra dies will go in the drawers. Weighs 40kgs so should work well.

I added a 19mm pine top for strength as the top is thin ans the bender is HEAVY!!! But seriously Outstanding!!!!
